KNAUS Campingpark Rügen is located in the north of the Baltic Sea island of Rügen, separated by a narrow strip of forest directly above the cliffs. The beach attracts visitors with its natural sand and pebble beach. A separate dog beach is located in the direct neighbourhood of the camping park. The very rural and quiet campsite is around 2 km from the village of Altenkirchen with its small shops. Cape Arkona with its spectacular cliffs is 10 km from the site. A few shady hedges provide privacy on the pitches at the campsite.

Site
Partially flat, partially slightly sloping meadow terrain, divided by low privet hedges. Individual groups of deciduous trees on the edge of the site. Situated above the steep coast. Partial view of the Tromper Wiek and the opposite coast.
Access to water
Access to the approximately 300 m long and 10 m wide beach via two steep iron staircases. Mainly coarse gravel beach with sandy strips near the water.

The ADAC Campcard discount does not apply to online bookings. Separate parking for cars applies only to the tent meadow.

We had booked 4 days, left after 3
Campsite that could offer more and could be a bit quieter. Very cumbersome for motorhomes.

Friendly
Large plots, very friendly staff. Restaurant good. Located on the steep coast, rocky but flat beach. Sanitary facilities are clean, access is cumbersome. Great location for bike tours to Cape Arkona, fishing village Vit, Altenkirchen.

Great view of the Baltic Sea, unfortunately with poor sanitary facilities.
Positive: +View of the Baltic Sea +Spacious pitches Negative: +Reception building in need of renovation +Sanitary facilities are dated and not clean.

To get used to.
The site is difficult to reach. Nice staff. Roll service. The entire facility has aged and should be renovated. Unfortunately only rocky beach. We were right at the steep coast, that was nice. We will not visit the site again.
