The KNAUS Camping Park Nuremberg is nestled in a lush and park-like forest landscape.
It is located in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition centre, the summer outdoor pool of the Stadionbad and the Volkspark Dutzendteich with its numerous walking paths on the south-eastern outskirts of the city. The medieval city centre with its imperial castle towering over the old town is around 6 km away. The many towering trees on the pitches in the meadow area offer plenty of privacy and protection. There is a playground for younger guests and the opportunity to play a game of table tennis.
After city stroll, head to the outdoor pool - on this park-like campsite, both can be easily combined.
Highly frequented during trade fairs and major events.

Since we only had a short stay, I can't say much. However, everything was clean, nice, and very uncomplicated. I would gladly return.

A friendly and clean campsite, conveniently located near various leisure activities. Although the facilities are somewhat dated, it is more suitable for a short stay, such as a city trip for example.

The campsite is beautiful, clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant was really delicious and freshly prepared. We would love to come back. Perfectly located for a city trip.

The campsite is idyllically situated in the forest, peaceful and shaded. Unfortunately, the pitch is expensive, but the sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained. The city center is easily accessible by bike.

Everything was okay. Well suited for visiting the city (public transport via U1) and cycling (with children) on many good bike paths.

The price is not commensurate with the location, the sanitary facilities with a foul smell, and the overall appearance.

Overall, the campsite is decent. There is nice gastronomy and the sanitary facilities are also in reasonable condition. However, I was disturbed by two things. 1. The requested price is, in my opinion, significantly too high (57 euros per day for 2 adults and a caravan). 2. Even though the site was not heavily occupied, we were assigned a plot (29) that was very waterlogged due to the weather, and the access road was also very muddy. As operators, they could have perhaps allowed campers the flexibility to choose their own pitch. Overall, the access road could use some improvement.

I had high expectations for this Knaus facility, but they were not met. This is remarkable, as the rate of over €48 per night for 1 person and a dog suggests otherwise. The pitches are unpaved and not really well-kept. There is no possibility for disposal of the 'fixed tank toilet', and the overall atmosphere feels quite desolate, despite the busy work of the gardener. The little restaurant looks a bit sad, but the chef prepares meals fresh; you can hear her flattening the schnitzels after taking your order and the meal really tastes excellent. The location is also great if you want to delve into the painful and dubious past of Nuremberg related to Nazi gatherings in the 1930s. Moreover, the renovated center is within cycling distance.
