KNAUS Campingpark Burgen/ Mosel

A typical Moselle campsite. We enjoyed the tranquility of the low season.

Absolutely great team, friendly and helpful.

It was easy to find the campsite. The signage was clear and access roads were good. The area had no large shade trees. The lawn was a nice green and well-mowed. The service building was clean and well-kept. And last but not least, the hosts were accommodating and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights in a barrel. The sanitary facilities were especially clean and within easy reach. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

For an extended weekend, it's really fantastic. It's very quiet, which is great for relaxation. Unfortunately, there is one downside - the stairs are not lit, and I find it a shame that you can't reserve your pitch in advance. But we will come back 😊.

The campsite is in a great location, with clean washrooms and toilets. The outdoor terrace is very nice. Unfortunately, the pitches directly by the water are quite sloped and uneven, making them difficult to access after prolonged rain. Additionally, these pitches are often covered in goose droppings. We would not book these spots again. The water tap points are way too far away, in some cases over 50 meters. A note upon arrival would have been helpful, as it would have allowed us to fill up water beforehand instead of having to carry everything with a watering can. There are no hooks for jackets in the toilets, and unfortunately, there’s only one hook in the showers, which is too little.

Beautiful overnight stay in a wine barrel. Next time, though, when it is warmer outside.
