Nice spot. However, the prices are too high for the amenities. We booked for 9 days as we were in the region for work. Extensive work on the dyke was carried out on site. This began as early as 6:30 AM. Prior information was given about the dyke works. Although the site was almost empty, we were assigned a pitch that was directly in the path of the excavators and trucks. The back area of the site was empty and quiet. The sanitary facilities are clean and in perfect condition. The proximity to the city is a given, which means that the traffic noise in front and behind the site is audible; this should be kept in mind.

1. In the very beautiful shopping city of Meppen, excellent location near the city center. 2. Campsite is located directly on the Ems. For these reasons, the place is very loud, but the routes to the city center are short. 3. Sanitary building is a 1 Plus, the only disadvantage is the location on the Ems dike, somewhat cumbersome to reach despite the ramp. 4. Wifi is unstable, despite the repeater. 5. No central disposal, ground inlet in small pipes at the pitch. 6. In the low season, for 2 nights, 2 people and a dog, 95€ is already a hefty price. Nonetheless, if we feel like shopping again, we would go back there. Also on the outskirts of Meppen is a shopping center with Marktkauf and Thomas Philips, all in XXL size. Highly recommended!
