What campers are saying
Summarized by AI
This campsite scores with its dreamlike, natural location and wonderful peace and quiet. The indoor pool and cosy rental accommodations are particularly popular. The friendly team also ensures a feel-good atmosphere. Good to know for the trip: Anyone heading here should be prepared for some slightly dated sanitary facilities and occasional bottlenecks with the bread roll service.

I really liked the surroundings at the campsite. The surrounding park was delightful and invited trekking. The animals were lovely for the kids, and the pool was great fun. The bathrooms were very clean (we were without soap for two days).. I didn’t like that others were smoking cigarettes on the pitches. I also didn’t feel very safe because the campsite was always open. Additionally, I missed information in English about things like renting ping-pong paddles or using the sauna or bowling alley. We also missed the ability to reserve a specific pitch online before arrival. We were offered pitches on a very uneven surface, and the tent couldn’t be leveled. I was grateful that we could switch pitches after finding a suitable one. The staff were very friendly. We had a great rest.

The campsite was really nice. The sanitary facilities were clean, which is always very important for us, and there were several hiking trails accessible directly from the campsite. A supermarket is just a 7-minute drive away (Edeka), where electric car users can also find a fast charger (Energy Südbayern, charging is possible with the e-lade app). Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during our visit. It only opens on August 5 until sometime in the first week of September, if I remember correctly. That was unfortunate in our case as we had a birthday to celebrate and would have loved to go out for dinner. As a suggestion for the campsite, I would recommend adding charging points at spots 2 or 4, where electric cars can charge at a reasonable rate.

We really enjoyed our stay. The available offers suited us well. However, we didn't expect the restaurant to open only in August for a few weeks. In the evenings, there were no options for food on the campsite. In the surrounding villages in Germany and Austria, it was a bit of a lottery too, as most open only when it suits them. Of course, we could have cooked for ourselves, but during a 4-day stay, we also enjoy eating out.

Poor communication. No opportunity to eat nearby at the end of June (during the week). The restaurant on the campsite opens only in August. This information is only available online under "Seasonal operation". It might be better to state directly when it is open. At the end of June, it is peak season, so I assumed it would be open as well. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The campsite looks run down (bad roads). No option to cool down (Campingpod). We had to terminate our stay because it was unacceptable to sleep in the Campingpod at 50 degrees.
