KNAUS Campingpark Hennesee

We had a pleasant stay at the well-kept campsite. However, there are a few downsides: the sanitary facilities were not always very clean, and the trash bins weren't regularly emptied. The men's toilet leaked a lot of water, and it seemed like the cleaning staff overlooked it, allowing a lot of water to run away, which was a shame. When we arrived with an action card, we were assigned spot no. 41, where there was only room for the caravan and not for the car. We were a bit disappointed, but we won't mention it to other campers as we hope that improvements will be made. Since I have difficulty walking, we had reserved a place as close as possible to the toilet. The lady at the office knew how to handle everything. That can happen. In any case, we hope to have another opportunity to use Knaus Campings.

Unfortunately, the campsite has aged quite a bit. The showers in the pool have likely been renovated, but the doors to the showers are broken, and one is missing. There are no clear signs indicating where the ladies' showers or the men's showers are located. The staff was friendly. The site is clean. The restaurant is a disaster. When we were there, the chef was sick. That can happen. The coffee was undrinkable.

One positive aspect was definitely the clear separation from the seasonal campers. The pitch was large, and the sanitary facilities were adequate, providing plenty of space. However, the poorly lit path to the sanitary facilities from our spot was a downside. It would definitely be a good idea to add a lantern there. Other than that, everyone was really nice, and the kids had a blast with the swimming pool and other activities 🤩.

It was incredibly relaxing and a very beautiful place.

Everything was excellent except for the coverage of the mobile network and the Wi-Fi.

Friendly staff that was always helpful. Clean, everything well organized. The overall impression was slightly disturbed by collapsing rental tents that were obviously prepared for demolition. Very nice summer festival. Suggestion for improvement: offer bread roll pre-ordering through a web form, so that day trips can still be possible until after the store's order deadline.
