We made use of our stay from Friday to Monday to test new technical installations before we start our trip to Italy. The check-in process went very smoothly, with very friendly and competent staff on site. Although our reserved pitch was occupied, we were quickly assigned an alternative pitch without any bureaucracy. A very quiet campsite located by the Ruhr, with the only disturbance being the flight path of Düsseldorf airport. Unfortunately, I was assigned a bad pitch. It was partly gravel and in a hollow. After the rain, this spot was underwater and because of the compacted ground, nothing drained. Mud and dirt. It took hours to get everything clean again. Never again.
