KNAUS Campingpark Dorum

We had a wonderful week and will definitely come back :-) We were there with a camper and two tents, spending an amazing time with family. All three generations felt very comfortable. The bread service, playground, and the fantastic adventure playground, everything you need for a great holiday! The showers and toilets were all in good condition and very clean! When the incoming boats signal, there are fresh shrimp (crabs) directly from the boat :-))) We especially want to thank the great team of this campsite :-))) Stay as you are! Thank you.

The steps leading to the sanitary facilities are very high, making it difficult for people with physical limitations. Additionally, there is no natural shade anywhere on the site, leaving one completely exposed to the sun.

I have visited this campsite several times for tent camping, but this time my mom and I had a mobile home and we were very satisfied. Everything was sufficient for two people. Everything was clean. The campsite manager was really nice and always had a joke ready. We will definitely come back again :)

Suitable for a short holiday or a stopover. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were not always clean. At the same time, there was a large youth camp there. You were thrown out of bed at the latest by 8 o'clock with cheerful loud music. In the evenings, the bass thumped so that the cups in the camper danced. Otherwise, it was a simple campsite with good and ample dining options nearby. The beach is acceptable. We didn’t visit the pool. It’s outrageous that the small dog beach costs 6.50 to enter. But the campsite can’t do anything about that. The staff was very friendly.

The location directly by the water is great; however, at spots 190 and 191, you cannot reach an electric box with a 25-meter extension cord and an additional 10 meters of cable. Unfortunately, this was not disclosed to us when we registered! This box closes at 6 PM, and we encountered a problem shortly after that while setting up. Thankfully, we have solar panels on the roof and were able to manage the weekend without shore power. We were also told that both spots were available, and we could choose one... which unfortunately was not the case; there was only 1 spot free. Ideally, they should know which parcels have been allocated. The spaces are extremely small; we were two inside and it was basically overcrowded. The children had fun at the pirate playground and by the water due to the location, which is the most important thing. Would we come back? Probably not, as the price-performance ratio did not convince us.

A wonderful facility, right on the beach of the North Sea. Klaus (at the reception) welcomed us and provided advice with utmost friendliness. Thank you very much.
