Fully booked, yet solution-oriented, mega friendly, and we even had cold beer, Sandra and her partner do a fantastic job, always there for the guests despite the extreme occupancy, this is what you get for us coming again. A small and clean campsite. We stayed there for 2 nights with a bus and tent. Modern and clean sanitary facilities. Very nice operators. Perfect starting point for bike tours into the Karwendel. Also ideal for hiking and climbing.

The site is located unspectacularly on a meadow. The space offer was generous. You can reach the campsite not far from the German/Austrian border. Scharnitz has a flair that is not appealing at first glance. There is a Flixbus stop, several restaurants, and guesthouses. I would like to highlight the 'old mill' here with its live music and barbecue evenings. The only shopping option (Spar closed last year) is limited to the offer at the gas station, which covers daily needs and is located at the entrance, 200 meters before the campsite. The reason for our stay was a detour with the bikes (!, otherwise very extensive) to the Isar source and further to the Hallerangeralm. We took the opportunity to park the car only and also on the next day after our return to set up the tent. Everything went smoothly and at a very reasonable price.
