Karasjok Camping / Min Aja

The campsite offers a flat meadow area high above a riverbank. For caravans and motorhomes, there are partly gravelled and partly grassy pitches, while tent campers can use a lower-lying area. Young groups of trees provide some shade in the western part.

Here you are in the middle of the pristine natural landscape of Lapland near the Finnish border. In summer, you can set off on extensive hikes directly from the site. In winter, the campsite is a dream for winter sports enthusiasts: you can rent a snowmobile directly on site or use the nearby cross-country ski trail.

Yes, absolutely! After an active day in nature, you can warm up wonderfully in the on-site sauna. If you fancy a larger swimming experience, you will find an indoor pool just 1.5 km away in the nearby town of Karasjok.

Since the campsite is currently not directly bookable via PiNCAMP, we do not have up-to-date prices. However, the following points are good to know for your calculation on site:

• Dogs are allowed on the entire campsite.
• Wi-Fi is available on the site.
• Electricity is available at the pitches with 10 amps.
• Sanitary facilities include showers, toilets, and washing machines.

Yes, Karasjok Camping is ideal for winter sports enthusiasts. In addition to snowmobile rental, there is a cross-country ski trail 1.5 km away and a ski lift just 1 km away. Since you are in the far north, you should definitely have full winter equipment including snow chains with you for your journey in winter.

There is a kiosk on site for small items. For larger purchases or a cosy meal, you don't have to travel far: the centre of Karasjok is only 1 km away. There you will find a grocery shop, a supermarket, as well as a restaurant and a snack bar. There is also a practical covered cooking facility on site.

If you arrive without your own vehicle or tent, the campsite has a great selection for you. There are 24 rentals in total. Of these, 8 rental accommodations have their own bathroom, while the other 16 cosy cabins do not have sanitary facilities.
