Large, yet not impersonal area. Individual sections are separated by high hedges, making the grounds appear not as extensive at first glance as they actually are. Many great leisure offerings, especially for children. The supply and disposal area in front of the barrier is very generously laid out and well done. Sanitary facilities are no longer quite up to date.

June 2023

We stayed as a family at the campsite for two weeks in July. The site has a large playground as well as an outdoor pool with a hot tub. The beach can be reached by bike in about 12 to 15 minutes. There is an indoor hall where one can play football or badminton. Two small trampolines, as well as a few slides and climbing opportunities, are also possible in the hall. It takes about 5 minutes by car to get to the Fårup Sommerland amusement park. The park is highly recommended; we spent two days there and enjoyed the water area. The water area opens at 12 o'clock. The park opens earlier. Unfortunately, many signs and notices at the campsite are only in Danish, and many employees only speak Danish. I would have expected some English. Generally, one does not feel very welcome. The sanitary facilities, except for a small part, are completely closed from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for cleaning. Kitchen included. This could be handled differently. Additionally, hot showers come with extra costs. The small shop is only poorly stocked. The employee seems more concerned with his phone than serving customers. Overall, we only give the campsite three stars.

Dreamy 10 Days with Relaxation Factor *****

June 2018

We, as a family (our daughter is 7), have had a wonderful summer vacation. Close to the beach, close to the city, close to nature, and with attractions right on site. Pool, minigolf, delicious food, cleanliness, friendliness, and so on... we had the cheapest caravan site category and it was large and incredibly quiet. We would spend our vacation at this site again anytime. We particularly liked the family bathrooms. Our daughter thought the playground was great, and the pool with slide was excellent too. We can also recommend the candy factory in Løkken and the candle factory in Blokhus. We now have an incredible amount of self-made candles in all variations at home.

The site is very nicely laid out, clean and has a very good standard. Unfortunately, in May and June, there are almost only permanent campers, the whirlpool is unfortunately not in operation.

We have already been to this place several times with and without children, the maintenance is very well taken care of, and Carsten, the operator, is always there to deal with the big and small problems of his guests and to solve them whenever possible. Once, when we had a defect in the automatic transmission while camping with our RV, he took it all in stride without any complaints, even though he destroyed parts of his green areas while extracting and towing the 8-meter behemoth and pushing dips into the landscape. When we asked how we could pay or make up for the damage, he simply told us that we were already burdened enough with the damage, that it was all fine. We are already looking forward to our stay this year. Unfortunately, the water slide depicted in the report does not belong to Jambo Camping.

More info about Jambo Feriepark

At Jambo Feriepark, which has won several awards as Denmark's best campsite, sports enthusiasts and families can look forward to a sensational holiday programme. The youngest guests can let off steam on three playgrounds. The centre of attraction for water rats is the large swimming pool with a water slide and integrated whirlpool. A large hall with indoor play facilities as well as badminton and volleyball courts offers leisure fun regardless of the weather.

4.5-star Jambo holiday park with its own pool

The 22-hectare Jambo Holiday Park is located just 3 kilometres from the beautiful beach at Saltum on the west coast of Denmark. The Eldorado for families offers 354 pitches between 80 and 140 m². If you don't want to arrive with a caravan or motorhome, you can book one of the cosy and fully equipped wooden cabins. The name of the campsite Jambo comes from the East African Swahili language and means "hello, welcome". This is exactly the motto of the family-friendly campsite. There is a warm atmosphere here, not least because of the helpful staff. People like to meet up in the Café Jambo for pizza and other tasty dishes or at the ice cream bar. The exotic street names at Jambo Feriepark remind the campsite operators of their time in Africa. The well-maintained facilities include a large outdoor pool with a separate area for small children. There is also a whirlpool that gently relieves tension. The three playgrounds are also popular meeting points for families. Two of them are specially designed to meet the needs of small children. The indoor play world is also a fun place to be. Slides and bouncy cushions invite you to let off steam. Older children and adults can let off steam on the badminton and volleyball courts or play a game of table tennis. An outdoor tennis court rounds off the leisure facilities.

Excursion destinations around Saltum

Families can cycle or drive to Saltum beach, just 3 kilometres from Jambo Feriepark. The coastline offers perfect conditions for building sandcastles and splashing around in the clean sea. A path leads from the campsite through cool forests and over large sand dunes to the beach. Another excursion destination is the 4 kilometre drive from the campsite to Fårup Sommerland. Among other things, guests can expect the sensational Orkanen rollercoaster, which reaches speeds of up to 75 kilometres per hour. The wooden rollercoaster Falken is just as fast. In warm temperatures, guests of all ages can have fun in Aqualand. The attractions here include the Waterslide and Vandcyklon water slides as well as the wave pool.
