Security deficiencies and disappointing handling of complaints.

Here’s our feedback after two weeks of camping. The nightly disturbances, almost daily due to loud music, even if it’s outside the campsite, do not correspond to a five-star campsite, and we would have liked to know this in advance. Being woken up at 2:30 by loud music (which was cranked up even more) after already trying to sleep through it, as well as the shouting of partygoers, is simply frustrating. When the music finally stops at 3:00, you can still hear loud engines, honking, and the calls of guests from the opposite beach club until 5:00 – there were also guests from this site who returned home loudly afterwards. Everyone comes onto the campsite uncontrolled via the street or beach. There are no lifeguards at the beach or pool. You cannot find any relaxation here, and at these prices, it’s simply outrageous!

We spent 8 unforgettable days at Valamar Camping Istra, a very well-maintained site with friendly staff and several restaurants. The children had a great time at Aquamar, where there was something on offer for all ages. It was actually a perfect vacation, were it not for the outrageous prices, especially for non-alcoholic drinks for children. On the piazza, a 0.33-liter Fanta costs a staggering 5.50€, while outside the site, you can find the can at the bars for 3.70€. This leads to guests bringing their own drinks to the evening entertainment because the drink prices border on extortion. Likewise, you won’t find a children’s menu, including drinks, for under 10€. The same pitch will cost about 30% more in 2027, meaning we will no longer book there.

One of our favorite campsites. The entire facility is exceptionally well-maintained and clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, with a wide variety of restaurants, lovely shops on the piazza, and a sensational pool area for everyone from 1 year to 70+ (heated). Unfortunately, not all pitches can be booked with dogs, but there is still a good selection available for dogs and the facility is great for dog owners 🐕. (dog showers, plenty of beach areas, plenty of dog bags... and of course our Benji loves the PowWow gift)

The sanitary facilities were in very good condition and always well maintained and clean. The entire area had a neat appearance. The restaurants on site are good and varied. The staff were always friendly, accommodating, and helpful at all times and in every place. The water park with the pools and slides is sensational. The only downside is that the dog beach is not suitable for dogs, and there was also no enclosed dog walking area. Nevertheless, we were completely satisfied and can only recommend the site.

The best-equipped campsite I know. Amazing infrastructure, everything is new. Stylish sanitary buildings. Beautifully located on a peninsula. Leaves no wishes unfulfilled. In October 2024 definitely 10 out of 10.

What can I say? Everything is there that you need (and also a lot that you don't need). Great well-maintained pitches, very clean sanitary facilities thanks to the tireless cleaning fairies, modern and functional - just as you would wish. Several restaurants, all sports activities you can imagine… no wishes are left unfulfilled. In the low season, it's also relatively quiet - in the high season, it’s likely more like constant noise. All this comes at a price - also quite expensive in low season - it would be perfect for us if the base price were lower and you only had to pay for what you actually use.
