Hvide Sande Camping

The family campsite Hvide Sande Camping is located on an isthmus between Ringkøbing Fjord and the North Sea. However, its location close to nature also makes it interesting for campers who want to experience a relaxing beach holiday by the North Sea as well as for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. A small shop on the site provides guests with groceries, freshly baked bread and rolls from the bakery every morning.

Relaxed atmosphere right on the North Sea

Only a high dune separates the campsite from the kilometre-long and very wide North Sea beach. It also protects the pitches from adverse winds. A total of 115 parcelled pitches are available for campers on the 2-hectare site. The 3-star campsite offers facilities for motorhomes as well as a disabled-accessible sanitary room and a family bathroom. Facilities also include a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are two playgrounds with bouncy cushions for children. Young and old alike can have fun on the street basketball court. Anglers can freeze their catch at the campsite free of charge. The supervised beach has been awarded the EU Blue Flag for good water quality and environmental protection. It is only 200 metres from Hvide Sande campsite. Ringkøbing Fjord, one of Europe's hotspots for windsurfers and kitesurfers, is just the same distance away on the other side. The fjord with its shallow shore is also ideal for fishing and for children to splash around in. The idyllic dune landscape is almost magical at sunset. The fact that the campsite is right in the middle of it all makes it particularly popular with nature lovers. The lounge with TV and internet corner is the perfect place for a cosy get-together. Overall, the atmosphere at the campsite is informal, cosy and relaxed.

Excursions and activities around Hvide Sande

The area around Hvide Sande campsite is ideal for cycling tours. Bikes can be hired at the campsite to explore the spectacular dune and extensive heathland landscapes. The "North Sea Trail", the longest cycle path in the world, also runs along here. A visit to the fishing harbour of Hvide Sande is also popular. The large harbour, the good fish restaurants and the fishing museum "Fiskeriets Hus" are attractive attractions. Further north, Nørre Lyngvig is home to Denmark's tallest lighthouse. Abelines Gaard is home to a charming local history museum that shows how people used to live on the West Jutland farm. The adjoining café serves delicious cakes. Above all, however, the surf of the North Sea, the beautiful beaches and rugged cliffs of the fjord and the tranquil lakes in the surrounding area are perfect for rest and relaxation.
