We were just very satisfied with the campsite. We had a view of the lake. The toilets and showers were super clean.

We had booked a Comfort spot with a view of the water. When we arrived, the spot was completely underwater with 3 cm, making it impossible to set up the bus tent. As an alternative, there was only a spot in the 'quiet' area, very uneven, with almost no grass. After the first short rain shower, everything here was also underwater. Mud alert! Unfortunately, the paths are higher than the pitches everywhere, so no water drains away. The grass hasn't been cut in a long time, and the little clover was very high. No trace of peace - every morning from 8 o'clock, boards were being sawn 20 meters away, styrofoam was being cut, and hammers were being used. Even the complaints of the Danish campers did not lead to any changes. The sanitary facilities are regularly cleaned, everything is top-notch. The swimming pool is small and more suitable for children up to 6 years old. The staff is very friendly. Does not deserve a 4-star rating! No recommendation!

The location is nicely situated and everything around it is easy to reach. The whole facility gives a well-groomed impression at first glance. But only at first glance; the showers and toilets are in dire need of renovation, the cabins for rent have also seen their better days long ago. It was very annoying that the lawn mowers were constantly running; even during the so-called lunchtime, the staff and permanent campers were continuously on the move with them. Even the praised swimming pool is rather a larger wading pool. For us, there will be no reunion.

Chose the spot at short notice. Everything available, entire area clean and well-maintained. Beach section in front of the campsite, guests of all ages there, but it was quiet at night. Operators are very friendly.

Horsens City Camping, a very nice comfortable campsite! Good, adequate sanitary facilities and mostly clean, depending on the weather. Indoor swimming pool (large pool, for a fee). Reception, kiosk, breadroll service, and other amenities. Very friendly operators and other staff. Beautifully maintained facility with good and friendly support. Child-friendly and dog-friendly. Close to the city (about 6 km); nice bike paths to the city and surrounding areas. We would love to come back here!

The site is beautifully located by the fjord, sandy bay, bathing jetty. Good sanitary facilities. Large pitches. Friendly reception. We were there 2 times and will definitely come back, but for longer than one night.

The location of the site is genius. View of the fjord, a forest hiking trail just around the corner, and the way to Horsens is also manageable in terms of distance and nicely located. The sanitary facilities are top-notch. The playground is as well. The pool is currently being renovated (covered with a glass roof) and should be finished in the next few days.

The well-maintained and modern Horsens City Camping is located on the banks of the picturesque Horsens Fjord. Exciting events, hiking and cycling trails along the estuary in East Jutland and interactive museums make the region and the campsite by the fjord a popular holiday destination for families with children, nature lovers and dog owners. Guests can even try out their windsurfing skills on the private beach at Horsens City Camping.
Picturesquely situated between the Horsens Fjord and a deciduous forest, Horsens City Camping covers an area of over 10 hectares. Some of the pitches for campers and motorhomes, of which there are 170 on the entire site, even offer a marvellous view of the estuary. With up to 150m², there is plenty of space for families with children to play and run around on the individual pitches. The campsite also boasts a modern children's playground and creative activities especially for younger guests. A special amenity of the campsite on Horsens Fjord is the private access to a sandy bay with a 40 metre long bathing jetty leading out into the water. As the campsite in Denmark is open all year round, visitors have access to a heated lounge and covered cooking facilities. Guests can also take advantage of the varied sports and leisure programme at Horsens City Camping: The creatively designed mini-golf course is particularly popular with families with children. Brave water rats can take part in windsurfing courses on the Horsens Fjord, while golfers can work on their handicap on the nearby golf course. In the adjoining grocery shop, guests will find everything they need for their daily needs and ingredients for a delicious, home-cooked dinner.
The museums in the town of Horsens are filled with history and stories. Tales of the grand old days are told at the Industrial Museum, which focuses on the development and way of life of the industrialised and affluent society. Children can dress up in costumes from the 1950s and travel back in time. Nowadays a wonderful cycling and hiking trail, once the railway embankment of the Horsens-Silkeborg line: the tour is ideal for excursions with the whole family without any inclines. If, on the other hand, you are drawn to the water, you can take a round trip around the fjord and take the ferry between Snaptun and Alrø at the end. On the last Friday and Saturday in August, Horsens is transformed into a medieval town: knights, jugglers and market criers transform the town centre as part of the European Medieval Festival.
