Hov Camping

The spot right at the sandy beach is truly beautiful. But that's where the positives end. 50 euros for 2 unkempt, dirty showers. The others are officially still closed. 10 euros extra for toilet disposal. Everywhere there are rules on what you can and cannot do. The operators really only want the campers' money, but not the campers themselves. We paid 50 euros just for the spot, without electricity, etc.

A great location right on the beach for a "sporty" price of 400 NOK without electricity. The container showers and toilets are outdated. A "no-go" was the ice-cold shower. The operators were friendly and helpful.

In August 2023, we paid 350 NOK per night for a camping spot without electricity on the meadow by the beach with plenty of room for the RV. The location is great. Spots with electricity are a bit further up on the other side of the street. Waste/emptying, as well as toilet access, are no problem. There are 3 toilets/showers each, generally in good condition. Unfortunately, there are far too few, and their condition deteriorates with use (also depending on the users). Additionally, there is ONE sink for dishwashing. Payment is made at the reception or easily online on the website. If you don't want to stand elbow to elbow in a parking lot by the beach, you just pay the price for it here.

The beach is amazing. But the rest is hard to tolerate. The sanitary conditions are terrible, the door doesn't even hang in the frame anymore.

Great location, right on the beach. Very friendly operators. There is a restaurant and riding stables with Isis at the campsite. Right on the beach, you can camp without electricity. A little further up, over the road, you can camp with electricity. The view of the sea is spectacular from both locations.
