Heimbacher Campingplatz

Very beautiful facility, right by the Rur. Nicely idyllic with many excursion opportunities in the immediate vicinity. However, the sanitary facilities are a total disaster. Not once were they cleaned in a week. Even if it is not the peak season, one can still expect regular cleaning. Hair and cobwebs in all corners, full trash bins and dirty sinks. This should really be improved given the prices.

We were only there for 1 night but were very satisfied with our spot in the back on the meadow. Very quiet, the sanitary facilities were clean and more than sufficient. In the campsite bistro, there was a very tasty pizza and traditional home-cooked meals. Greetings to Lydia and Derlef... born innkeepers. Greetings from Britta and Ralf.

Online reservation went fine. Then at the entrance long discussion about the vaccination certificate and the spot I had reserved with gray water drainage. No, one had to think it over first. It worked out in the end. Long drive through the area of many seasonal campers. The barrier was mostly open and it was unclear to me how that was controlled. Despite the many campers, no rolls could be ordered.

We spent a short vacation there in a rented wooden cabin 2 years ago and were so enthusiastic that we spent another long weekend there just a few weeks later. This time inspired us so much that we started looking for a permanent spot there, which we have been able to call our own since the beginning of this year. Since then, we have been spending every free minute at the site, as cleanliness, togetherness, and not to forget the nature are simply unbeatable!! I can only recommend that everyone consider this site in their planning!

We camped on the large meadow. Grilling was allowed. Sanitary facilities simple but clean. The staff and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The large meadow is bordered on one side by a wooded hill and on the other side by the gate. Very idyllic!!

More than 2 stars is not what this place deserves, rather no star! Toilets without seats? 2015? Moreover, not enough!!! Power according to my device 19kw, according to the operator 35kw, should be checked! On the large meadow everything is wild and chaotic, open fire, dogs, parked cars, power lines over the meadow! With every train ride, there were warning sounds. Federal road directly opposite, paradise for bikers with a lot of noise but not for campers!
