The location in the city is very good for the sightseeing tour. Unfortunately, the sanitary area is very old and does not correspond to the price, which at 57€ per night should have allowed for higher expectations.

If you like construction noise on the premises until 9:00 PM, siren sounds, and 1950s live music, this is the place for you. Privacy and relaxation do not exist here, not even in the toilet and shower. In the women’s shower, craftsmen were working in the morning. We were separated by only a thin shower curtain. Very uncomfortable.

merely a good starting position

We chose the site based on the occasion for our visit to the Athletics World Championships. It was only about 10 minutes by bike from here. Continuing along the Danube, it took another 10 minutes to reach the city center. Those were the advantages. The site itself is borderline. The reception was rather unfriendly. The groundskeeper was absolutely grumpy. The showers were deplorable. The price-performance ratio was inappropriate. That means, for 'convenience', many compromises.

The place is closed!

As of today, the gate is closed! The area is closed, and as it looks here, it's probably for the best! I was lucky in misfortune and found a parking space 200 meters away. Since there are no parking fees to pay in Hungary on Saturdays and Sundays, I will stay there for one night.

The place is in a terrible condition. A sign indicates that it was closed by official decree on 12.22.

We were on-site for 2 nights to visit a buddy in Budapest. Since we were traveling only with a camper and tent, we wanted to have a proper campsite and not just a simple parking space without facilities. Luckily, we found one. Upon arrival around 9 PM, the 24-hour reception was unstaffed, and another German tourist fortunately pointed out that we should just find a spot and check in tomorrow. The next morning we only had to fill out a check-in form. The site has no shade, but it is quite well-kept. The sanitary facilities are acceptable but somewhat dated. Upon departure, we were simply asked how long we had stayed and how many we were, as the reception had no information about us and could not find the previously filled check-in form. The night before we only got back at 1 AM, however, the gate was closed at that time and we did not receive a code during check-in to open it. Fortunately, we reached someone at the local restaurant’s number who could let us in. Overall, the location is ideal for a city trip through Budapest (also due to good infrastructure), but otherwise, there are significant limitations.

Camping in the City
Very good8

We arrived in pouring rain at the site and were taken to a pitch without having to stop. "Let us know when the rain stops. Everything is there that you need, the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the site is good and affordable. The public transport connections are great, 3 minutes to the tram. The sanitary facilities could use a mop a bit more often. I find the site ideal as a starting point for city visits. We would love to come back. Oh, and I think you can't complain about the price.
