Gröna Udden Camping

We stayed at this campsite for a week. During the first days, there was a festival in Mariehamn. This made the campsite quite crowded. But once the festival was over and the many tent guests had left, the washroom was very clean and everything was very quiet. We were in the front row by the water. The path to the washroom was quite far, but we really enjoyed the site. It has a good restaurant and a bathing beach. There is a large house with kitchenettes, like everywhere in Finland.

The campsite is located near Mariehamn, and you can easily reach the city on foot. The campsite is right by the Baltic Sea, on a shallow sandy beach. The sanitary facilities are in good condition and relatively clean. There are many opportunities for children's activities. We were here with a tent and 2 people, costing 30 euros per night. The camping spots are level and quite straight. You can hear the road, but it is bearable. However, we had a spot near the water, whether this applies further up or in the cabins (close to the road) I cannot say. There is a nicely located sauna, with its own dock and water access that you can rent (about 20 euros/hour). It is also possible to rent bikes and Segways. It is noted that charging smartphones etc. is not allowed throughout the camping area. You can charge batteries at the reception for a fee.

The campsite is uniquely beautiful located by the sea. The sanitary facilities are clean and adequately available. There is a well-equipped kitchen with several amenities. The service staff are very friendly. The site is easily accessible by bike to the town, which has a very good indoor swimming pool. The outer islands are generally recommended.
