Great spot in a very good location! We would have liked to stay longer, but since we wanted to move further south, the next spot was already booked. Very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities and we could even see the bay from our camper! Would love to come back!!!

Good place with hard-to-reach beach

Email requesting availability was not answered, so just to be safe, I booked an "XL pitch" via the campsite website. CC could not be specified but was accommodated upon arrival on site without any issues. Staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. From the pitch, there is a very nice view of the bay. Functional and well-maintained, clean sanitary facilities. The "nearby" beach is accessible via a footpath with over 400 steps, so it is hardly directly accessible for people with limited mobility. The location (about 2.5 km to the nearest shop with about 150 meters of elevation) is exploited with high prices in the shop.

Compared to northern Spanish campsites, a good place

Unfortunately, as often observed, as short-term campers (we stayed 3 days), we were placed on the poorly situated sites. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain and the pitches were a complete mud fight. Respect to the young people (surfers) who somehow managed to endure this. The path to the beach is long and goes over a cliff path with 439 steps, which however offers breathtaking views and is worth the effort. This is also the best way into town with a beautiful beachfront promenade and great ice cream parlors. The train connection from there to Santander is every half hour, cheap and wonderful! Probably in the other direction too. The restrooms are often farther away and only mediocre: no hooks, etc., the store is sparsely equipped and relatively expensive. We have been camping for many years in different countries. There is already a considerably better camping culture in comparison.

Great campsite with very moderate prices

Very nice place, unfortunately with quite tight curves... especially with a large caravan you need to be able to drive well... Sanitary facilities top and very clean, cleaned several times a day. The small shop has the bare essentials, otherwise there is an Eroski and a Lidl in the village below. The path to the beach is difficult, but compensated by a beautiful view of the entire bay, just like the mostly already reserved pitches with sea view. In any case, a recommendation, also because from here as a base camp excursions to San Sebastian, Bilbao, etc. are possible with public transport!

Absolutely a dreamlike 3-star spot! Whether it's a spot with sea view or in the middle, there is something for every vehicle size. The sanitary facilities were clean and fully functional at all times of the day and night, with sufficient toilets and showers available in both outdoor and indoor settings. For the surroundings alone, one should give 20*. Those who are good on foot have the most varied options to reach the village, the dream beach, or the mountain scenery. There is even a shuttle that goes to the village 3 times a day. We visited here at two different times and will definitely come again. Really incomprehensible these bad reviews. Our secret tip!

A site with various options

Very good8

August 2022

The thickest pound: the site is open all year round. Partly beautiful views over the bay. There is a lower area that is good for tents and micro campers (vans). Here are slightly larger individual pitches, but no electricity (which I also don't need). The upper part is better equipped but placed more closely together. Large boats can also be found here. When checking in, clarify the options carefully. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi only works in the vicinity of the reception. The sanitary facilities are "okay" but could be kept a bit cleaner. There is a small restaurant on the site and a better one a short walk away. Shop and washing machines. Overall, a good site (which site is perfect anyway).

Who loves getting assigned the worst spots with a tent is exactly right here. Tight, dirty, expensive.
