Quiet campsite with very friendly and helpful operators. Ideal as a stopover for the ferries in Hirtshals. The only drawback is the very steep stairs to the beach. However, the campsite cannot be blamed for that.

Camping fun with Icelandic horses and mini zoo
Located between the holiday resorts of Lønstrup and Løkken, Gl. Klitgard Camping & Hytteby is the perfect place for a holiday in North Jutland. The campsite is surrounded by nature just 200 metres from the North Sea coast. For young and old, the family-run site is a true leisure paradise with a wide range of activities. There are three children's playgrounds alone. The little campers can also romp around on a large bouncy cushion, experience little adventures on the jungle trail and race around in go-karts. The biggest attraction, however, are the Icelandic horses. If you like, you can take lessons in the riding arena or go on guided rides through the dunes. Animal lovers are also drawn to the campsite's mini zoo, which is home to goats, pigs and even Tasmanian kangaroos.
Water fun in the outdoor pool and on the North Sea beach
Even if the North Sea beach is only a short walk through the dunes: A great alternative to a dip in the sea is the heated outdoor pool at Gl. Klitgard Camping & Hytteby, including a water slide, children's pool and wind-protected sun loungers for relaxing. Beach volleyball, minigolf and table tennis also provide entertainment. Events are also held regularly in the cosy fireside lounge. The campsite also has shaded and unshaded pitches as well as cosy bungalows equipped with a kitchen, fireplace and TV with DVD player.
