The Klaukenhof campsite is located quietly and close to nature, with well-maintained grass and a spacious pitch area without fixed plots. The facilities are basic: hot water only with coin operation, no Wi-Fi, no direct drinking water connection. The bread service was not offered despite the application. Information such as sanitary codes was not communicated directly. The sanitary facilities appeared to be poorly maintained. The petting zoo was a positive aspect, with the animals well cared for. The playground offers little shade. Service and communication between site operators and the economy seem uncoordinated. The price-performance ratio is borderline. Suitable for nature-oriented guests without high demands, with moderate optimization potential.

Positive: Booking is done online in a modern way without spot selection. You simply choose the tourist spots and can then select a great free camping space on site; there are no restrictions. Electricity and water taps are usually always nearby. Great large playground for kids and a small enclosure with 2 donkeys and some goats. Otherwise, it’s a quiet and atmospherically beautiful campsite where the owner makes his rounds daily. Bread service and good WiFi included. Negative: The sanitary facilities are very outdated and not always super clean, but okay. Showers cost €1 / 4min. This is also completely sufficient, as it’s only about the pure water running time. At times, some sections of the campsite resemble a field. For those who are not bothered by that and have the appropriate flat-head screws and awnings, they will also find a solid camping spot here.

Very nice quiet place. The booking was very relaxed. Very nice for unwinding. The bathrooms are clean and freshly renovated. We will definitely come back. The only downside is that you have to pay for the dishes even if you only have leftovers. And you couldn't pay with a card. A nice playground and a small petting zoo right at the place.

Great location, wonderful place with playground and petting zoo

The place is highly recommended, and we, as a family, really enjoyed it. You can take long walks along the canal with the dog. Fishing is possible, and there is also a small petting zoo. Although we did not make a reservation, we still got a spot. The dog costs nothing, and that is already a big PLUS for this place. Dog shower is also available and very functional. Due to Corona, the showers are rather limited, but hopefully this will normalize soon.

A small, quiet, and completely idyllic campsite dominated by permanent campers. Unfortunately, it's somewhat chaotically organized, the manager assigns more spots than the groundskeeper has. Even though we had called the day before, nothing was available. After some back and forth, we managed to get a corner among the annual campers. The access roads are relatively narrow, as the main road is being newly constructed. New pitches are also being created, but then the sanitary facilities will become scarce when everything is occupied. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and very well maintained. The restaurant is recommended for good home-style cooking.
