We were referred to the site as an overnight spot outside the CP - it is a simple parking lot in front of the barrier, which is neither divided into pitches nor otherwise arranged. Upon our arrival around 5:30 PM, the entire parking lot was fully occupied by visitors of the CP and the on-site restaurants. Although we stated in our written inquiry that the total length of our WoWa combination was 12.5 m, there was no possibility to park the combination. The parking lot is right next to a roughly 5 m high grass hill - parking there is not advisable due to smells. The area is very dusty and not paved, moving cars kick up a lot of dust - there is no water or electricity - yet they charge 20 €. The sanitary facilities are quite dated - the 'new' ones apparently remain at a standstill. Never again.

Apparently the site operator has a good copywriter. The reality is much simpler. What the "PREMIUM quality" is supposed to be based on remains unclear - possibly just in the price! In a "chronicle," two new - urgently needed - sanitary buildings are already announced for 2023, of which, it is later said, at least one is supposed to be finished by 2025. Instead: two closed construction sites with not even half-finished buildings. Therefore makeshift flushing facilities on the outside facade of an old building without reasonable access, drain plugs for a 5 euro deposit at the reception. Wi-Fi? Not available! The site owner does not want that, was the answer! Guests should relax. As if I couldn't decide that myself... The access roads on the vast site are more like puddle landscapes in rainy weather. Also not "premium"!

We searched in vain for a premium spot, there was no water and sewage at the site, an electricity outlet for 4 and 4 on the other side, The level is a matter of definition, grass can sometimes be found, 120 m depends on the measuring tape. Fortunately, we had very nice neighbors… 69 euros are excessively high for this spot, for the access you practically need a tank. The restaurant is nice, the food not… Without the possibility of visiting Schwerin or Wismar, we would have departed again the next day. KM

Unfortunately, utterly overblown price (69 €) for a spot without fresh and wastewater as indicated on the internet, smaller than promised, everyone runs across the field to the small swimming spot. New sanitary buildings still under construction, poorly secured, existing sanitary facilities too full on the weekends, debris storage on the spot for tents, paths full of holes and unacceptable for cyclists. Flowers or well-maintained areas only created by the permanent campers. Overall, unfortunately very disappointing. The bike path network is good and also well marked. Organic store well stocked, but with corresponding prices, no wifi, staff friendly and helpful.

Originally we wanted to stay for 4 days, but after noticing the condition of the sanitary facilities and the site overall, we wanted to leave after just one night. After some negotiation, we were able to leave after 3 days. In my 20 years of RV experience, I have rarely encountered such poor waste disposal. Supposedly, in 2025 two new sanitary buildings are to be available. They are still under construction. The dishes had to be washed outside on rough cobblestones. For 12 large comfort pitches, there were 2 taps available, and there was no drainage. In our sanitary building, there was also supposed to be a washing machine and dryer - none of that. I cannot understand the positive review in any way. To describe this facility as a premium camp is presumptuous. Even at a nearby campsite, the situation was better.

The location of the campsite was good and there are certainly beautiful pitches that deserve the name premium pitch with a lake view. Unfortunately, our two pitches did not belong to that category. The two pitches were sloping, the grass had not been mowed, and the promised lake view was entirely blocked by a private property and tall shrubs and trees! 59 euros is a steep price for this type of pitch and for this location!

The campsite is beautifully located by the lake. That has been the positive so far. Upon arrival, despite the reservation, you have to park in a separate area and walk for miles to choose a spot. Back to the reception and hope that the other searching won't take the same spot. The site plans are wrong or invalid as the sanitary buildings to be completed for the season are not yet finished. Construction noise possible. Wandering around looking for disposal and washing machines was frustrating for us. No indication on the washing machines whether to pay in cash or with coins. Tip: get coins at the reception. But we had no dryer coins left. The question at the reception about WiFi was negative. I should!!!! relax and read a book instead of using the internet.

The Seehof holiday park is the perfect place to get to know the Mecklenburg lake district. The Eldorado in the countryside borders directly on Lake Schwerin.
The generously sized pitches are spread over a well-tended meadow area. The campsite is partly wooded. Children experience new adventures every day at the Seehof holiday park. Whatever the weather, the creative centre invites you to do handicrafts. Real works of art are created here. There are also regular pottery workshops. The wax workshop, where candles are made, is particularly popular. The play centre is a popular meeting place when the weather is not conducive to outdoor activities. The games hall is popular with young people and adults. There are table tennis and table football tables as well as children's billiards. If the sun is shining, you can meet up on the beach. A well-tended sunbathing lawn invites you to relax. Courage and skill are required on the cross-country course, where cyclists can show off their skills. Bikes can be hired directly at the campsite. Not only active guests, but also those seeking peace and quiet get their money's worth at the Seehof holiday park: they love the beauty barn. Here you will find a sauna and a relaxation room built with planks from the former jetty. The Egym fitness studio with smart equipment offers ideal training conditions. They make their own suggestions for training. Relax and unwind with a cosmetic treatment or massage in the beauty parlour.
If you want to combine camping with a cultural holiday, the Seehof holiday park is just the place for you. In the nearby town of Schwerin, one attraction follows the next. The Schwerin State Museum provides an exciting insight into painting: works by famous Flemish and Dutch artists are on display. Culture lovers can spot Schwerin Castle from afar: it is located on a picturesque island in Schwerin Castle Lake. Valuable art treasures can be viewed on a guided tour. Just as impressive is Schwerin Cathedral, a brick building. Those who climb the 220 steps to the top of the 117.5 metre high tower can enjoy a magnificent view of the holiday region. But the city also has a lot to offer children: There's adventure in the climbing forest with its eight courses. Animal fans should plan a visit to Schwerin Zoo. The show feedings are the highlight of every visit. The campsite is an ideal starting point for cycle tours. There are paved routes along the lake and into the unspoilt countryside. The Lewitz bird sanctuary is perfect for nature watching. With a bit of luck, rare white-tailed eagles and cranes can be spotted in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve. Geocaching is a modern way to explore the charming holiday region.
At the Seehof holiday park, families, active guests and those seeking peace and quiet will have a great time. The leisure paradise welcomes its guests directly on the lake and offers its own beach as well as many leisure activities. Relax in the beauty barn, where sauna and massage offers await.
