Road to the campsite paved like before. Site only partially maintained. Rabbits are roaming freely, no wild rabbits are left from the petting zoo. Left free by the former caretaker. No one is taking care of it. Bungalow clean and spacious, only the beds need to be renewed. Kitchen has everything you need. Bathroom/shower clean. Catering closed. Staff nice, friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed on a leash on the site but not in the lake.

Yes, the place has aged, but our bungalow was newly renovated and the proximity to Hamburg, Wolfsburg, and Lüneburg is ideal. The Heidschnucken trail is beautiful, and the kiosk was reopened with fresh rolls in the morning. You can shop in the neighboring villages. The lake and the area are an oasis of calm, and the staff is very nice and friendly. There is an indoor play area and a pool for kids, although the lake is much nicer anyway. Dogs are warmly welcomed and definitely have plenty of space to run.

Due to the website with appealing photos, we booked here directly for a week. The photos must be a few days old.... Upon arrival, there was the disappointment; you reach the site via a decaying road. You could already see the somewhat run-down holiday apartments from the car. We suspected what awaited us. But we had already paid, in advance. Otherwise, we wouldn't have even checked in. Our pitch was a comfort pitch, meaning with its own toilet and shower. It was a heavily weathered mini container, Functionality was present, but it was very dilapidated. From the loose toilet paper holder to the askew “pasted” shower cabin over the wall-painted hot water boiler. Totally off. The site was relatively empty. Which is not unpleasant. The playground, very important for us, was in a similarly partially dangerous condition. For example, there was the swing whose chains had been repaired in several places with shackles and were almost worn through. We cannot assess the restaurant since it was closed on this Saturday during peak season. No shopping opportunities on site. Guests are already informed at reception that there is almost no mobile phone reception on the site; we gladly took this tip and booked Wi-Fi again, resulting in it being almost unusable. It’s not even enough for text messages. That’s quite outrageous. After just one night, we left directly. Thankfully, we at least got part of our money back and could spend three nice days at another site nearby instead of a whole week. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Location and landscape are good, Childcare and activity options are very good Toilets and showers are okay I find 2.50 for electricity and water per person per day very exaggerated, when you are camping and have neither electricity nor water connection.

A beautiful family place that, however, has seen better days. The price-performance ratio is not necessarily favorable, and permanent pitches are also very expensive. A lot could really be done here, but the potential might be present. Beautifully located in a quiet area, far away from the highway.

Very nicely located, but you can clearly tell that the facility has seen better days, which is probably common knowledge. Mid-September is indeed the off-season, but it was eerily quiet. This, of course, did not bother us; we stood alone on the unpartitioned (burned) meadow for about 40 motorhomes and had a very quiet night. Otherwise, we counted 2 caravans in other areas of the very large facility. The restaurant was already closed during the high season, it was said. We were lucky that the snack bar was open; it operates only 4 afternoons a week, with very friendly and attentive staff. Sanitary facilities were just acceptable, with very narrow showers and no storage options. As a base station for hiking or cycling for self-caterers, it's okay.
