Camping Stiller Winkel

Camping by the water "de Wied" is very beautiful. However, the campsite itself was a significant disappointment. Double rows of caravans at the water, with guy lines strung from one to the other. Children zooming by on scooters at 25 km/h throughout the site. 350 spots but only 5 working showers and 15 toilets (2 of which are in a private area). Cleaning is done in 3 minutes (not clean, just fresh?). Maintenance is done by the owner of a cottage on weekends if it’s possible. Missing toilet seats, hot water not connected, so a whole shower and dishwashing facility without hot water. The camping store consists of a vending machine with coins, and the service is downright unsociable. Spots are spacious but without any separation, they feel too close together. This was not our campsite. The existing Asci association seems quite outdated to me. We left earlier (fled). A refund was not an option with the owner.

A very beautiful spot right by the river. The sanitary facilities are clean and spacious. For household waste, you have to walk to the front to the parking lot at the reception. Definitely something for those seeking peace but perfect for unwinding.

Quiet place, right by a small river and hiking trails. Perfect for dog owners as there is quick access to forests and meadows. Very clean sanitary facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Many great bike paths in the area.

Very quiet, you can hear the birds and the rustling water. Perfect for those seeking tranquility, no cars, no main roads. Very friendly staff - checking in after the official time was no problem - late check-out was also not an issue. A playhouse with foosball for rainy days, a very modern and new restroom facility, a pavilion with benches for picnicking. Many dogs - as always when camping - but we have a dog and it was not louder or quieter than at other places. A bridge leads directly to the hiking trails. Great bike paths around. Bread delivery service and pizza delivery right to the site. 😉 small snack machine with ice cream and cold drinks.

Exceptionally good location right on the banks of the Wied in the Westerwald. The place is ideal for families and very quiet.

Very quiet, beautiful place, sanitary facilities are super clean. There is also a roll service for those looking for a quiet spot, this is exactly the right place.

But unfortunately, some long-term campers have quite loud dogs. Great and very clean sanitary facilities, bread roll service, nice and friendly operators, super location right by the Wied, but unfortunately, there are many, partly neglected plots of long-term campers. Without the loud dogs, it would have been 5 stars.
