Apart from the overpriced restaurant at the entrance of the square, it was a great stay there. We had a great spot with our camper. The sanitary facilities were also well maintained, and the showers were equipped with additional hand showers. In the high season or when the place is fuller, I think it gets tight in the sanitary facilities with 4 showers for men and women. The campsite is somewhat sheltered behind the dunes. Unfortunately, the bread roll service only works with a mobile phone and is not feasible for older people. There are certainly easier solutions. Unfortunately, there are also no shopping facilities at the site. For that, you have to walk about 3 km to the nearest village. A seal tour with the shipping company "De Vriendschap", which is about 800 m away, is recommended. Dogs are "welcome", but should always be leashed and not mark.

Everything here just fits. Despite the many dogs, it's very quiet. Nice staff, close to the beach, and even the dog gets a vacation here. Clean, paved camping spots at the edge of the nature reserve. The sanitary facilities are perfectly fine. We'll come back here. Awesome.

The campsite is located in a picturesque setting. The grounds and sanitary facilities are very well maintained, and the owners and their staff are very friendly and helpful. We have been here several times with our dog and are happy to return.

+ The location directly at the lighthouse/beach is excellent, which is reachable on foot in five minutes. The red lighthouse rises dreamily high! The site is beautifully laid out and everything is very clean/neat. - The sanitary facilities are basic but clean. However, at full capacity, they will likely reach their limits (1 urinal, six sitting toilets) … The shower system is interesting: You have shower points (credit) on a chip card which activate the shower electronically. You can shower for six minutes. After that, there is a lockout period of three minutes before you can redeem a shower point again … considering the proud price of the campsite, one would expect more self-determination here … No little shop, but there is a bread/roll service. For children, there are two smaller playgrounds. Conclusion: Nice site, with room for improvement - too expensive.

We were there from October 14th to October 21st, 2023, and this was already our third time! Super well-kept, dog-friendly campsite with very clean sanitary facilities and nice operators. Rolls service on site and just a few meters to the beach. Once again, it was a great vacation, with beautiful walks with our four-legged friend on the beach and along the hiking trails through the dunes ... We will definitely come back and can recommend the site without hesitation!

We spent five wonderful days here. Those looking for a place for true relaxation have come to the right place. The site is beautifully laid out. Everything is clean and in top shape. Not only the sanitary facilities. Even with a fully booked campsite, everything here is in order and there is actually enough of everything. And yes, dear other campsite owners, it can also be done without getting the heebie-jeebies when looking up in the sanitary buildings. My personal highlights are the dishwasher and of course the beautiful location. Extended bike rides, walks on the beach, the dune landscape,... even the child was totally happy here without any further entertainment. Thank you for this wonderful place!

One of the cleanest and most beautiful places. It was a perfect vacation. If I could, I would give 10 stars, free dishwasher, large showers and sinks that were cleaned twice a day. Everything is very modern and operated with a card, simply great. We will come back, super spot, nice campsite owners who always helped us, thank you for the great time.

We were there with our dog in July 2023. We had to pack up our low dog fence again after a very unfriendly "announcement" from the owner, with the justification "We don't want that here!"... ?? It apparently also states in the "attachment" of the booking confirmation... and on the flyer with the numerous dog bans that one must adhere to and which you receive before you even get to your spot. Question: Why is this not prominently displayed on the website? Then we wouldn't have booked there at all. The dog must always be leashed and behave quietly so that no one feels disturbed. This means you are constantly busy untangling the dog leash because the dog sometimes just moves. Since we couldn't choose our spot in advance, we had a well-frequented children's playground nearby. (Good that our female dog is already old and doesn’t bark at everyone anymore.) Dogs are also not allowed to pee on the premises. Anyone who allows this will be reprimanded by the staff. So you try to drag him off the "premises" as quickly as possible, so he doesn’t mark anything. We spoke with dog owners who quickly carried their small dog past the barrier so it wouldn’t pee anywhere and they wouldn’t get into any more trouble. We got the impression that our money is gladly accepted but dogs are only tolerated. I think the operators can afford this because they are lucky with the location of the place. Otherwise, dogs are more welcome at any other campsite on Texel than there! We will not book a vacation there again, neither with nor without a dog.
