Set in the coastal forest of Marselisborg and just a few steps from the beach, DCU-Camping Blommehaven is perfect for a nature-oriented holiday close to the city. Quietly located on the outskirts of Aarhus, the campsite offers spacious pitches, simple cabins and plenty of activities for families. Dog owners especially appreciate the dog shower after a day at the beach. Ideal for anyone wanting to combine nature and city experiences in one relaxing holiday.
This site is a nature experience - and yet the center of Aarhus is very close by.

We chose this spot due to its proximity to Århus. The pitches are located on a slope, several have sea views. Rocky beach with a jetty for swimming. Århus is easily reachable by bike, there is also a bus. The sanitary facilities are tidy, a bit scarce in high season. The shop offers the essentials, with rolls for sale, also with pre-orders the evening before.

DCU Camping Aarhus Blommehaven. Somewhat good place, but way too large. Divided into beach and forest side. Beach with a pier, small and stony. The arrangement of the camping pitches leaves much to be desired. The place is basically always fully booked (similar to Gothenburg) due to the proximity to Aarhus (6 km); nice bike path. Aarhus is quite interesting, but too small for a city tour. Great rooftop terrace landscape on the Salling department store. From the campsite heading south, there’s the Moesgaard Museum, worth seeing just for its architectural design. Small shop at the site, good roll service. No space for restful relaxation.

We only spent one night with our camper there. The site was well occupied and there was a traffic jam at the registration. The area near Aarhus is great, especially if you have bicycles with you. Sanitary facilities, and especially the showers, leave much to be desired. For that, the price is too high. Rolls! You can ONLY pre-order them and only during the store's opening hours.

Campsites by the water or in the woods. Sanitary facilities are older but clean. Ideal for visits to Aarhus.

The location is on a slope but is not central (5 km to Aarhus). The beach is rocky. Friendly staff and very good service. The sanitary facilities are old. The best part is the view of the sea. For one night, it's very okay.

Parcels separated by hedges, located on a slope towards the sea on the east side. Those who choose their spot in advance using the map, as well as spots 213 to 218 and all those to the right, can have a sea view; the best are 268 and possibly 269! The site is okay, well suited for 3 nights on the go as in our case, but I wouldn't want to spend more time here, especially since we are totally pampered from our previous spot in Fünen! The sanitary facilities are adequate, in our building there are 4 narrow showers, shower heads are firmly anchored, and wash cubicles can only be closed with a curtain. The communal kitchen is also sparsely equipped, with 3 hotplates, 3 microwaves, and as many washing areas. The beach is mostly stony and goes down quite deep immediately; you have a view of the port of Aarhus, and the water is not very clean. However, the steep coast, densely covered with beech trees, is beautiful and invites for walks, and there is also a cycling path that runs by here. The roll service is well organized. As a recommendation for Aarhus, I definitely want to mention "Den Gamle By", a historical old town with various activities.

Surroundings: The campsite is beautifully located. We had a spot by the water. There, you have a nice view of the Baltic Sea and direct access to the beach. Activities: The area is great for nice walks or jogging. We also rented bicycles and cycled to Aarhus (about 20 minutes). The bicycles do not belong to the campsite, but you can download an app (Donkey Republic) and rent bicycles through it. Internet: Wifi costs about €3.50 per day (one code can be used for two devices). Sanitary Facilities: The sanitary facilities are a bit aged but absolutely fine. There are separate shower stalls. Service and Waste Disposal for the RV: The service station for motorhomes is also fine. Staff: Super friendly. Food: There is a bread service and a small supermarket. The supermarket is really very small, so one should stock up well beforehand :) Miscellaneous: There are no gas bottles on site. We stayed there for a total of three nights and felt very comfortable.
