DCU-Camping Aarhus – Blommehaven

Gut ist das er Plätze mit direktem Meerblick hat und auch die Wege zum Wasser kurz sind. Der Nachteil ist die Plätze liegen im Berg, sehr eng beieinander. Das Duschhaus ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, bei den Männern riecht es stark nach Urin und das Holz der Bänke in der Dusche schimmert, wen jemand duscht ist die ganze Hütte feucht.(Toiletten auch)

When we arrived at 5 PM, the reception closed right before our eyes. It's not possible to check in at the reception at 5 PM, not even at the associated shop. In summer, check-in is at 6 PM. But that's the time when many return from their sightseeing tours to the campsites. Although there was the option to organize a spot from a plastic box, it felt quite odd. The staff was also very rude and not helpful at all. We actually wanted to stay for 3 days, but we left the next morning, just like other campers. Additionally, the sanitary facilities were old and still had shower curtains. The price was far too high for this level of service!

The sites are spacious, but the sanitary facilities are limited (4 showers! for the entire upper area for women) and are mostly not clean... outdated.

The pitches are nice and spacious. However, the sanitary facilities are outdated and not clean. Today, on Easter Saturday, there was no cleaning done or at least it always looked equally dirty. The washing machine was very dirty (the detergent compartment was gray and moldy), so we decided not to do the laundry.

We chose this spot due to its proximity to Århus. The pitches are located on a slope, several have sea views. Rocky beach with a jetty for swimming. Århus is easily reachable by bike, there is also a bus. The sanitary facilities are tidy, a bit scarce in high season. The shop offers the essentials, with rolls for sale, also with pre-orders the evening before.

DCU Camping Aarhus Blommehaven. Somewhat good place, but way too large. Divided into beach and forest side. Beach with a pier, small and stony. The arrangement of the camping pitches leaves much to be desired. The place is basically always fully booked (similar to Gothenburg) due to the proximity to Aarhus (6 km); nice bike path. Aarhus is quite interesting, but too small for a city tour. Great rooftop terrace landscape on the Salling department store. From the campsite heading south, there’s the Moesgaard Museum, worth seeing just for its architectural design. Small shop at the site, good roll service. No space for restful relaxation.

We only spent one night with our camper there. The site was well occupied and there was a traffic jam at the registration. The area near Aarhus is great, especially if you have bicycles with you. Sanitary facilities, and especially the showers, leave much to be desired. For that, the price is too high. Rolls! You can ONLY pre-order them and only during the store's opening hours.

Campsites by the water or in the woods. Sanitary facilities are older but clean. Ideal for visits to Aarhus.
