Idyllically located, extensive campsite with a small lake where you can freely choose your spot. Quiet, nature-friendly environment; new, beautiful sanitary facilities. Privately operated kiosk with a caring, dog-friendly approach that resonates throughout the entire site.

The campsite is nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Hunsrück. You have free choice of site; the pitches are spacious with large trees that provide plenty of shade in the summer. Outside of reception hours, you can register at a terminal at the entrance. The sanitary facilities are very clean, and overall the site is well-maintained. In the kiosk, you can find many items for daily use, bread and rolls, grillable meat, fresh eggs, etc.

A little piece of nature. Lots of green. Free choice of spots, the upper sanitary building beautifully renovated, the lower building still under construction. Sanitary facilities clean as long as few campers are present. Nice little lake. Playground half with new equipment and the other half closed off, everything covered in very high grass. Small playground near the restaurant is okay. Playgrounds were still enjoyed. Piles from mowing the pitches spread "pleasant" country air. Roll service is available (discount store pre-baked rolls). Great starting point for hiking and cycling. Very poor mobile reception, which we appreciated. Annoying the price battle at the end of the stay, although initially discussed about camping card, the demand was 30 euros per night (2 adults plus a child under 2 years). Ultimately paid 26 euros instead of the 22.10 euros listed in the camping guide (too tired for the discussion).

We stayed here for one night and had plenty of space (or free choice of space). The sanitary facilities in the reception house are all new, very nice, and clean. You can see that the entire campsite is being renewed as well. The playground is currently closed because it is also being renovated. Dogs are allowed. However, there are no waste bins for dog poop bags on the grounds. One wonders what the €4 for the dog is for then. The restaurant menu is very "meat-heavy" and consisted of 90% schnitzel dishes. The ordered pasta with tomato sauce was very unloving, tasting like ready-made sauce. Cheese cost extra. Tomato-Mozzarella salad (= 3 tomato slices with one slice of mozzarella on top) was also rather meager. The children's menu was okay. The restaurant could significantly improve the menu and quality of the dishes. All in all, however, it was okay for one night. The campsite gets 4 stars. (The restaurant would get 2 stars).

A really great place and super nice staff. The best part was that usually campers who only stay one or two nights are at the front of the campground on two large areas. Since the campground was not fully booked, we were allowed to simply search for a spot on the premises and not just us, but everyone who came over the two days had free choice of spot, and the ADAC discount was also available, unlike other campgrounds we visited. The restaurant has had a new owner since this year with really extremely nice and attentive staff; the food is super delicious and fresh from the region. In addition to the regular menu, there is also a very generous breakfast buffet. There is also a small shop in the restaurant with everything you need and a bread roll service. The new owners of the campground are making a big effort to address the shortcomings of the previous owner; in the reception building, the bathrooms and sanitary facilities have been renovated. The older sanitary facilities are, despite their age, in good condition and picobello clean; they are also scheduled to be renovated according to the owner's information. Our conclusion is, overall, a real recommendation. Excursions in the area are easily possible by bike. We will not be here for the last time.
