Costa do Vizir Beach Village

The site has 2 areas, one of which features top-notch sanitation, a great swimming pool, and well-maintained pitches available in various sizes. The second area is quite the opposite, with uneven pitches, narrow access roads, partially defective electrical boxes, and poorly maintained grassy or sandy spots. We booked a 4-star pitch and were assigned a site labeled as 2 stars, allegedly just because it had not been recently re-labeled. The restaurant on the site is excellent but expensive. The small supermarket offers the essentials for campers. For us, it’s a typical 3 out of 5-star campsite, no more and no less.

This campsite has everything one could wish for from a decent camping site. Friendly staff, a good restaurant, although it is somewhat pricier. The sanitary facilities are clean.

The campsite has so far been the best on our trip through the Iberian Peninsula. The pitches are divided into different categories. All are level and sufficiently large. The sanitary facilities are in very good condition and are regularly cleaned. The pool is great and the small mini market offers everything you need. The restaurant was closed. Just 500 m away begins the beautiful beach around Porto Covo. Porto Covo is a nice little place. The campsite and the region are absolutely recommended. With an ACSI card in the low season, it's 21€ per day.

Very clean and well-maintained, good location also for river walks to the town 5-10 min; good starting point for bike tours; numerous beaches, including nudist beaches, within 10-15 min.
