The good thing about the campsite was that it was near the center of Copenhagen.

Very nice campsite with many hedges. Everything is very well maintained. The washing machine is very nice and clean. Those bringing children will find a very nice playground. At the reception, everyone is very friendly and helpful. A temporary extension was possible without any problems. They also ordered a taxi for us. Dragør is also quickly accessible by bike and is very worth seeing. There you can find everything you need. There is also a small shop on the campsite with fresh bread and rolls.

Accommodation option for city sightseeing

Terrible place. The clientele of the permanent campers is of the lowest level. Accordingly, it looks unkempt. Our spot was completely muddy at the beginning of May. We only stayed one night. Absolutely unsuitable for a vacation. Only good for city sightseeing. Then quickly away!

Great outside - disappointing inside

The reception is friendly, quick, and helpful. Even when we wanted to change our spot again because our pitch was just muddy ground, there was no problem, and we could choose a new well-grassed site. Unfortunately, the family cabins, for which you pay extra!, are totally outdated, stink terribly of urine, and appear very neglected. Really disgusting! In contrast, the communal showers, with private lockable cabins, are okay. And really large enough to shower with children. The toilets are also clean and well-maintained. There is always music playing. Unfortunately, everything here costs extra, 3 minutes of hot water both in the kitchen (which is already very outdated and neglected) as well as in the shower. Without an access card, you can't get in anywhere. You can walk to the Baltic Sea, but you cannot access it since it is pure reed landscape and reserved only for fishermen. Moreover, planes constantly fly relatively loudly over your head. For a two-day stay near Copenhagen, it's okay, but it offers no relaxation. A bus that runs every 15 minutes towards the city center is quickly reachable on foot (about 10 minutes). The playground is at the entrance and not exactly quickly accessible, for smaller children it is not feasible without parents. For a holiday, we would not come back, but just to visit Copenhagen and then move on, it is okay….

Well, it was okay

Unfortunately, we didn't find the campsite that great. While we had a very large pitch, the toilets, kitchen, etc. could really use a renovation. The proximity to downtown Copenhagen was the reason we chose this site. One also has to live with the noise from the airport.

Doesn't deliver what it promises

3 showers are too few for such a large campsite. Access is exclusively via card and this sometimes does not work for payments. We paid 1200 Danish crowns from Monday 13:30 to Thursday 9:00. You can reach Copenhagen very quickly by bike in 35 minutes.

Top playground

Checked in easily and quickly. Sanitary facilities could be cleaner. Especially the individual cabins are not really worth it. There's a great playground for children with a zip line, swings, slides, and a huge jumping pillow; mini-golf and a pool complete the whole experience. The distance to the aquarium is about 15-20 minutes, and to the city, it's about 25-40 minutes. A gas station and supermarket are reachable in 5 minutes by car.

Disappointing city camping

August 2018

The reception was only open from 8 AM to 2 PM. When we arrived at 3 PM, we could retrieve an envelope with various notes regarding the overnight stay and a chip card for using the first gate from a mailbox. Although we could drive our caravan to a parking-like spot in front of the actual campsite, we could not get the car out again. Thus, the day was lost for further activities (as far as not possible on foot). The lady at the reception showed little interest in engaging with us. Information about possible bus and train connections was only elicited from her upon inquiry. She only spoke English with us, even though she was obviously proficient in German. There was no bread roll service, nor was there any indication that there was a small shop nearby that took orders. The sanitary facilities were clean, and the pitches were fine. If you don't value service, this is a good starting point for exploring Copenhagen. Of all the many campsites we visited during our three-week trip through Denmark, only this one was left with negative memories.
