3 meters away from us there is currently a large construction site with everything that goes with it: excavators, bulldozers, trucks. Between 8:30 and 9:00 every morning the noise started, so that you had to shout at each other during breakfast. The noise ended around 4:30 PM. In response to our complaint, we were told that they didn't know that construction was taking place. That is a lie!!! Our neighbors have had the noise for almost 2 weeks. We were also not offered a new spot, even though there were enough empty spots. The noise would also be gone tomorrow. (Sure, on that day they were pouring concrete, and the concrete needs to dry for 3 days. So much for the topic of 'didn't know'). A spot that is rated as a Super Spot by the ADAC, I imagine differently. They should not have rented it out. The construction site is located to the left of spots 164, 185, 186, 205 at the adjacent camping site. It’s better not to book in this area.

Hello everyone, my wife and I were at the site this year, we had a great spot right by the water with a direct view of the water and Mergozzo, we had booked for two weeks. The site is very clean by Italian standards. However, the restaurant is below average; I felt like I was in a train station hall. Unfortunately, after four days we received a tragic message in the immediate family. We had to leave immediately, and when we were paying, we mentioned this and asked if there was a possibility to receive a financial reduction. This was denied. With the note to request this in writing. Said and done, we tried our luck a total of 3-4 times in relatively large intervals. Until the management finally deigned to provide us with a €150 voucher. We'll see. The site was probably rented out immediately again.

I admit that when planning the holiday in winter before booking, I didn’t look carefully. I thought that a campsite directly next to a golf course would appeal more to golfers and therefore attract an audience over 50. Far from it; I overlooked the bouncy castles alongside the football stadium, the pool area, etc. I agree with most of the good reviews, family-friendly is absolutely applicable. But if you’re looking for calm and order here as a fifty-something... you find rather the opposite. Therefore, I want to warn everyone who is looking for cleanliness and order. That leaves a lot to be desired, at least in the bathhouse by the lake; it certainly has high traffic on good days, but for this very reason, this area should be especially cleaned and above all, the mold in the shower should be removed. The ceilings look terrible and the area is really dreadful. On the sides, there are apparently new washrooms that are clearly better than those by the lake. The shopping opportunities in the facility with a recharge card are quite nice, though I don't understand the reason for this. Regardless, everyone has to wear a bracelet; I’m over 50 and don’t wear a bracelet like an all-inclusive guest. The personal satellite system can be left at home because the area is so well shaded that you only have reception in the rarest cases. But there is terrestrial reception; for those who are technically well prepared, they can plug their cable into the TV and start the search, then there are a few important, also German programs. Otherwise, the facility is not so bad, but as I said, there are unfortunately an estimated 3000 children here, and they are very well taken care of. The golfer, even though the course is right next to it and can be accessed directly from the campground, has nothing to do here, in my opinion. And those seeking peace should rather think of a train station because during the day, it’s similarly busy here. The restaurant is not recommended; it’s too loud, too uncomfortable and resembles more a fast-food restaurant with poor pizza. The plots are typically Italian, quite narrow, and it can happen that the laundry from the neighbors is hanging directly in your line of sight. Wastewater is available but, as often is the case, unusable unless you have a dirty water pump. Such a place of this size naturally needs to be serviced, and so you have to accept that delivery vehicles or this wonderful street sweeper often drive up and down. Unfortunately, we landed here with false expectations. We will definitely do better research in the future.

We have now been coming here for the 3rd season during Pentecost. The organization has always worked smoothly. The pitches are acceptably large and mostly shaded. The washhouses are in very good condition and always clean. There are enough toilets and sinks. During peak times, there are of course not enough showers and the water pressure is (as likely at every campsite) sometimes too low. The animation is good and the entertainment program is as well. There are always problems with reserving the tennis court. There is good quality live music every evening. The supermarket is small, but it has everything necessary and also fresh rolls which are very cheap, as well as gluten-free products. The pool is very clean and a lot of fun. The wave pool and the children's area are recommended, even though it is not heated. The lake is beautiful and perfect for stand-up paddleboarding. It slopes very gently. The sandy beach is clean. It is advisable to bring good shovels for playing in the sand! The pizzas at the beach are very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely come back.

We are here for the 3rd time already! Basically, it's ideal for families with small children! Beautiful sandy beach, the lake is clean and not too deep! Nice pool and this year with a spray park for the little ones! The pay card system is really practical! Negatives: the place is loud, a lot of animation! On Friday evening, the place is overrun by Italians, then on Sunday evening everyone is gone again! The gastronomy is nothing! The food is bad, only the pizza is really good! You can eat in the restaurant or you can order. But with the order, the food cannot be consumed in the seating area of the cafe/bar! This is exclusively reserved for the consumptions of the bar/cafe! Even though everything is under one roof! What nonsense! Really good campsite, which still has a lot to improve!

Parceled plots of varying sizes under light trees. Delicious rolls and bread in the supermarket. Enough sanitary buildings, always clean. Stand by the lake was wonderful. Several bike paths are easily accessible. Special features: Camping own credit card for payment on site. Charging can only be done with cash. Never let the time run out at the machine, otherwise the money is gone and you have to chase after it. Otherwise, it’s actually a good thing. ATM on site, but it gets emptied quickly when fully booked. Negative aspects: Hardly any hot water when fully booked and, if at all, very poor internet; main restaurant only by reservation. The pizza at the beach bar is anyway significantly better.

Nestled between the picturesque Lake Mergozzo and Lake Maggiore is the beautiful Continental Camping Village. The wonderful location surrounded by lush greenery, bright blue and the soaring mountains as well as the family-friendly concept make this great 3-star campsite one of the most popular holiday destinations in north-west Italy.
The idyllically situated campsite in the west of the municipality of Fondotoce di Verbania extends over around ten hectares of beautiful northern Italian countryside. The camping village offers direct access with a gently sloping sandy beach to the tranquil Lake Mergozzo. Although this is much smaller than the famous Lake Maggiore, its crystal-clear water makes it one of the cleanest recreational lakes in northern Italy. Campers can even fish in Lake Mergozzo. Fishing licences are available directly at the campsite reception.
A good 338 pitches are spread across the entire camping village. The pitches are divided into 4 sizes, including the Standard-Plus pitches with 70 square metres of space and the Large-Plus pitches measuring up to 90 square metres. The pitches are mostly in the shade and have an electricity connection, most also have fresh water and waste water connections. If you need camping accessories for the youngest holidaymakers, you can reserve items such as highchairs and cots in advance.
In addition to the pitches for motorhomes and caravans, guests can also stay overnight in the stylish maxicaravans. These comfortable and fully air-conditioned mobile homes offer space for up to 7 people, depending on their size, and are equipped with every comfort. Those who prefer to stay in a holiday home can opt for the tasteful holiday flats with kitchen area, microwave, induction hob, freezer compartment, private bathroom and balcony.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the holiday flats and rental caravans. However, four-legged family members are welcome guests on the pitches. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, in the swimming pool or in the lake.
The Continental Camping Village is lively, but above all cosy. The day begins with a dip in the lake, breakfast in the greenery, a dip in the swimming pool or morning aqua aerobics. The spacious pool area resembles a mini water park and is well equipped with water slides, wave pool and current channel - a real water paradise. Children can have fun in their own paddling area and with water games, water mushrooms and mini slides.
If you work up an appetite after all that frolicking in the pool, it's not far to the Wave Bar with ice cream, chips and numerous tasty snacks. The Monkey Restaurant opposite the children's playground offers a typical Italian menu every day from lunchtime to evening.
Pizza and pasta dishes are also available to take away, for example for a cosy film evening in the camper. The supermarket offers a good selection of Italian and international products for self-catering shopping.
In summer, the atmosphere is characterised by the loud laughter of children. The international children's entertainment programme provides fun and entertainment that will make your children's stay unforgettable. They can dance the night away at the mini disco, mini club and beach party. There are also entertaining evening shows for campers of all ages.
Those who like to be active can take advantage of the wide range of sports on offer. Table tennis, TEQ ball, sailing boat school and beach volleyball ensure that there is never a dull moment. The water park and the nearby BMX park also offer variety. Guests can also hire bicycles, canoes, stand-up paddle equipment and pedal boats and explore the surrounding area by water or land.
A more relaxed but no less sporty option is a game of golf on the "Golf Continental Verbania" golf course, which borders the holiday village directly to the west. Romantics and those seeking peace and quiet can take part in the boat trips that depart for Lake Maggiore to the south in the high season. Popular destinations for excursions in the surrounding area are the beautiful Borromean Islands, the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto and the rugged mountain ranges and gorges of the Val Grande National Park.
