We really liked the campsite. We were in the area by the river, which was a bit "separated" from the main place. The sanitary facilities were absolutely modern and very clean. The staff at the pizzeria was very friendly and attentive. The food there was fantastic. We are extremely animal lovers, but due to some guests feeding the many ducks, they have become very clingy and the droppings are everywhere on the carpets. A small tip for the operators: Put up signs - do not feed. Not healthy for the animals either. Unfortunately, there was almost no Internet in our area and the adjacent ones towards the river. The campsite wasn’t even shown as available. For us, it wasn't extremely bad, but sometimes we really needed it. Especially since it’s included in the price. So be careful which spot you book.

Beautiful spot by the lake with a children's pool. Due to the proximity to the nature reserve, please remember to protect against mosquitoes. Power is only sufficient for small items. No public transport. The town (within walking distance) offers excellent restaurants at good prices.

Beautifully maintained site and friendly staff. Restrooms are always clean and well-kept. Trash bins here and in the dishwashing area would be good. Mosquitoes are a problem but not a major issue. To dispose of waste and fill up with water, you have to drive to the supply area in front of the site. There is a lot to do in the surroundings. Only the beach is prone to dirt and algae, depending on the wind direction. Otherwise, a clear recommendation.

The fact that it is quiet here at night is a bad joke. An open-air disco echoes across the bay. We are moving on tomorrow and looking for a truly quiet spot. We actually wanted to stay longer.

Beautiful location directly by the lake. Clean sanitary facilities. Spacious, level pitches. Nice beach. Drinking water access is unfortunately only available in the sanitary buildings. Some decentralized drinking water access points would be very helpful here. Friendly staff. We would gladly return.

Beautiful flat lawn areas. The terrain is beautifully landscaped with trees and plants. Campsites are large and well-defined by bushes and trees. Sanitary facilities are basic but very clean at any time of the day. However, there is no heating, so it can be cool in April. Very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. Everyone is proficient in the German language and has the campsite fully under control. The sanitation facilities are cleaned several times a day. There are staff members on the grounds every day ensuring that everything is clean and remains so. The beach is great; you can walk for a long time into the gently sloping water. Perfect for children!

More infos about Conca D'Oro Camping & Lodge

Situated directly on the shores of Lake Maggiore, the Conca D'Oro Camping & Lodge campsite boasts a peaceful atmosphere and a picturesque beach along the lake, which is particularly inviting for sunbathing and swimming in the warm summer months. The site is particularly suitable for families. However, active holidaymakers also get their money's worth here, as the surrounding Alps are ideal for hiking and climbing.

4-star campsite on Lake Maggiore

Conca D'Oro Camping & Lodge is located around 800 metres from Feriolo di Baveno, the nearest municipality in the region. The campsite belongs to the Italian region of Piedmont and is located in the far east of Lake Maggiore, just a few kilometres from the Swiss border. The site has a total of 272 parcelled pitches, which are between 70 and 90 m² in size and therefore offer enough space for families and groups of several people. On a total area of 6 hectares, there are also 50 rental accommodations and 15 pitches for permanent campers. The campsite is equipped with washing machines, tumble dryers, its own supermarket, a small snack bar and many other amenities that make a longer stay possible without any problems. Sporty guests can choose between rounds on the nearby golf course, boat trips on the lake or a varied sports programme on site, which includes guided hikes and bike tours. The Conca D'Oro Camping & Lodge has its own playground and various entertainment programmes for children. However, the biggest highlight of the site is the 600 metre long sandy beach, which is lined with sunbathing lawns. There is a very friendly and informal atmosphere at the campsite, thanks to which all holidaymakers will feel at home right from the start.

Tips for leisure activities in northern Italy

In addition to quiet and relaxing days on the picturesque sandy beach, there are many other attractive activities in the region. Hikes through the Alps are particularly popular, with the peaks of the Wasenhorn and Monte San Giorgio being favourite destinations. From up there, mountaineers can enjoy picturesque views over the mountains in the south of Switzerland and the north of Italy. Cycling tours along the lake or over the serpentine mountain slopes are also popular. Campers who enjoy discovering the cultural sights of the region can take a walk through Feriolo and visit the 13th century castle, for example. A little further away but always worth the journey is the metropolis of Milan with its world-famous marble cathedral.
