Summarized by AI
The campsite scores with its dreamlike, idyllic location right on Lake Chiemsee and a great view. Campers are particularly pleased with the dog-friendly atmosphere and the extremely nice, helpful staff on site. Good to know for the trip: Anyone heading there should be prepared for rather narrow pitches and some noise from the nearby road.

The large pitches right by the lake are great in terms of size and view. However, this joy is heavily tainted by the loud national road directly behind the campsite. Not recommended !! Checking in was chaotic. Despite online check-in, the pitch was not assigned immediately. It was not possible to drive to the olive grove for check-in, as vehicles were already waiting at the barrier both in front and behind. We then drove directly to the palm garden, but the barrier did not open. Fortunately, someone let us in since the access is very steep and short, leaving our back end hanging on the national road. In response to my criticism, the lady at the reception was very brusque. Overall, she was quite unfriendly. Guest cards were issued only the next day upon request. Camperclean is still broken. The drinks machine was not refilled despite a request. The bar was closed. For the price, one would expect better service!

The spots at Palmengarten are spacious and located right by Lake Chiemsee, offering a beautiful view of the lake. The new washroom is spacious and kept clean regularly, although the large number of spiders was bothersome. The site is not cheap. Nevertheless, we would come back.

A top campsite, directly by the lake. Ideal for excursions. Friendly and clean. If I had paid attention to the pointless reviews, we would never have come to this site. Don't make the mistake of listening to the previous reviews. They present a completely distorted picture. Form your own opinion. We hope to come back soon. Many thanks, best regards, the Reichardt family.

The adjacent road causes a very high noise level.

The location directly by the Chiemsee is fantastic. However, that's where the positives end. The federal road is heavily trafficked, resulting in a constant noise backdrop 24/7. The plots seem too small to me, and depending on the space, a lot of maneuvering is required (for caravans). During peak times, there are far too few toilets available. The pizzeria was closed, so the only option was to eat out or take away. The price-performance ratio is rather poor. A processing fee of 10 euros is deducted from the deposit. For whatever reason. I've never encountered this with an advance reservation. It's outrageous. Even the view of the water doesn't make up for it.

This campsite should be avoided at all costs. If they are not serious even with the deposit process, how will they behave during a stay? I had made a reservation and paid a deposit. Unfortunately, I had to cancel within the required time due to illness. I was then informed that I could book again next year. Unfortunately, after a heart attack, that is no longer possible. I then requested a refund of the proportional amount. This was not done without any comment. This is truly bad style, so definitely avoid.

Beautifully idyllic camping site right by the lake. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's important to mention that it is also very dog-friendly. Between the two adjoining sites, there is a dog beach with plenty of space to romp.

The campsite is very beautifully located right by Lake Chiemsee, which is especially pleasant in good weather. Unfortunately, there is a busy road running right next to it, which somewhat disturbs the idyll - especially at night, it is quite loud. The entrance to the site is extremely narrow, which is problematic for larger cars with caravans. Although XL pitches were available and not fully booked at the time of my stay, none were offered to me despite my inquiry. The sanitary facilities were in good condition and cleaned regularly. The staff, on the other hand, seemed rather unfriendly and unhelpful. Overall, the stay was fine, but I wouldn't visit the site again.
