The site is likely switched to part-time opening. The reception is only staffed from 8 AM to 10 AM for check-in and payment. We could choose a spot freely, as no one was available. Check in and pay the next morning. Prices are okay. Toilets and sanitation were clean. Many permanent campers. The natural pool/lake can be used for free. For us, an overnight stay on the way was okay.

We stayed at the site for a week. During this time, we felt comfortable at the site. The reception was friendly. Although the sanitary building looks a bit aged, it was always clean and well-heated. Wi-Fi is freely available throughout the entire site. We used the site as a starting point for hikes in the nearby forest around Kirgel.

Campsite with spacious pitches located right next to a natural swimming area (included). Additionally, there are four outdoor pitches for transients and a tent area. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but functional and clean. The operator warmly welcomed us and took care of his guests in a friendly manner. The food in the small restaurant was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and dedicated. Conclusion: The campsite is ideal for both transit and a longer stay in an underrated holiday region due to its location. Very good price-performance ratio. We would love to come back.

Very well-kept and beautiful spot with a great restaurant and adjacent natural swimming pool. In the town, there is everything you need, even accessible by foot in just a few minutes. You can only feel good here!!!

The site is quietly located. The adjacent free outdoor pool is definitely the highlight. The pitches are generously sized and equipped with a paved surface. Unfortunately, there is no fresh water connection near the pitches, so they must be filled using canisters. The sanitary facilities are clean, apart from the drilling dust from the last renovation still being present on the mirrors. A drawback in the women's showers is that, despite individual cabins, there is no way to store clothes dry in the cabin. So leave them outside the cabin. In contrast, the men's area has 2 cabins with a separate shelf. Another drawback: apart from a bread roll service, there are no shopping opportunities on site. On the positive side, the friendliness of the staff is commendable, both at the reception and in the restaurant.

Well-designed and partitioned pitches invite you to linger. The natural swimming pool, which is free for camping guests, as well as the tennis facility (for a fee) offer opportunities for sports activities. The Kirkeler Castle and the hiking and cycling paths of the Saarpfalz district leave nothing to be desired. The sanitary facilities are adequate and well-maintained. Everything is centrally located. The gastronomy is family-friendly and of very high quality at reasonable prices. Overall, there is a family atmosphere in the well-kept area. The site is also well-suited for groups and families with children due to the camping site. For day tourists, motorhome pitches are available in front of the barrier.
