Directly on Lake Maggiore, quiet, no street noise, parking spots by the lake are full on weekends, quiet during the week. Tessin ticket included for ÖVM, close to the train station and shopping center.

Beautiful campsite, but... ...very unfriendly, arrogant staff at the reception ...on the phone, you are treated very rudely and without greeting ...expensive ...small pitches ...electricity costs extra ...even though dogs are allowed, they are probably not really welcome (very small, dirty dog beach with a broken water pipe that poses a risk of injury) The palm trees and decorations at Miralago impress me far less than many other campsites in Ticino with friendly and customer-oriented staff.

Really great camping. Very good location for excursions. Clean, completely new sanitary facilities, super shower with rain shower and spray, washing machines and dryers up to date. Excellent for kids, swimming at the campsite's own beach. Very good restaurant with Ticino cuisine and Ticino wine. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately, we as a family had bad experiences at this campsite. The staff was extremely unfriendly. The peak moment was our booked late checkout. At 11 am (the normal departure time), the head of the campsite stood with an employee on our pitch and very unfriendly pointed out that we should leave immediately. When we said that we had booked a late checkout, he did not believe us. While my husband went to get the confirmation (luckily we had received it by email), he insulted us and continued to verbally abuse us. Upon showing the documents, he turned around and left without a word.

Those who seek peace and relaxation will definitely find it here at the beautiful Miralago campsite. It exudes a Caribbean atmosphere with its hundreds of magnificent palm trees 🌴🌴🌴🌴 and the southern climate of Lake Maggiore. Dog lovers feel very welcome with their four-legged friends at the campsite! What is also very nice and practical is the boat, which is reachable in just 3 minutes on foot, and takes you to Locarno in only 15 minutes. And with the included Ticino ticket, it's even free!!

We were alone this year at 4 5-star campsites, but I have to say that this place, although it doesn't have 5 stars, was the best of all. The sanitary facilities were always clean and were cleaned several times a day. The campsites are nicely laid out, and a lot of attention was paid to details. The pool and the rental of SUPs and canoes are already included, which puts the price into perspective. The rolls were sold out quickly (at least our types), but it wasn't a problem as there is a Coop just 5 minutes away (by bike) that has many baked goods. The recreational offerings are great. It felt like there were a lot of dogs (unfortunately).

We wanted to spontaneously see Lago Maggiore, but unfortunately there weren’t many spots available on the Swiss side. Since we were traveling with a dog, it’s not always easy to find a place where he is also allowed. Still, we found this spot. It is actually really beautiful, but unfortunately there was a big construction site in front and one on the site itself. Well, it’s the off-season, so that’s excusable. All good. However, we were really shocked by the price, we have never paid so 'much' for a pitch. Moreover, it’s a pity that you can’t walk along the promenade, which actually starts one or two km further on. With the construction site in front of the place, it was a bit annoying. But everything worked out. Otherwise, the spot is clean and well-maintained. However, they should collect more trash at the beach and keep everything better in order. Otherwise, it’s also a nice spot, especially with the panorama and the palm trees.

The Miralago is a year-round campsite, which is why we visit this campsite (exclusively) in the winter half-year. We like the site, the gravel pitches are ideal, and it's a clean affair. The site has a well-maintained impression. Due to the various sizes of the parcels, even very large camping vehicles can find a suitable space. The sanitary facilities are clean and pleasantly heated. However, the prices are not exactly modest. What absolutely bothers me and I find a complete shamelessness is the reservation fee of CHF 50, which is neither taken into account nor refunded. I enter all the data myself online with the reservation, the camping has to do almost nothing. This CHF 50 is a massive rip-off. Please abolish it or refund it. Not worthy of 5 stars is the wastewater disposal. In my vehicle, the drain is located in the middle under the van, which makes it impossible to empty the tank cleanly. And if someone has the pitch right next to the Dohle, they can be happy when departing campers dispose of directly in front of their feet (have to).

Water rats can also look forward to a wide range of sports activities in the cool water. You have the opportunity to try out the trendy sport of stand-up paddling or hire canoes.
