Campingplatz Wernerwald

The Wernerwald campsite in Cuxhaven-Sahlenburg offers couples and families with children travelling with their own motorhome or caravan a special nature experience thanks to its location in a large wooded area. A path takes campers directly to the beach and the North Sea.

Family campsite with great facilities

The 8-hectare site has 500 pitches, 65 of which are available for holidaymakers. The Wernerwald campsite is open all year round. In addition to three wash houses, there are dishwashing rooms, washing machines and tumble dryers. The sanitary facilities are wheelchair accessible. There is a children's toilet and a mother-child room for younger campers. Internet access is available in the campsite's reading room. A grocery shop, a snack bar and a restaurant cater for your physical well-being. These are open from mid-March to the end of October - the restaurant is open until the end of December. Holidaymakers can also hire bicycles and beach chairs on site.

During the holiday periods, the campsite offers a varied children's leisure programme. Young holidaymakers can experience exciting adventures with their friends in the playground. The neighbouring beach and the North Sea are perfect for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming. At the nearby surf and kitesurfing point, all sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth. There is also a climbing park nearby with various levels of difficulty, which is great fun for the whole family. If you prefer something a little quieter, take a walk through the unspoilt Wernerwald forest or swim in the nearby outdoor forest pool.
