Site
Municipal site. Extensive grassy area with some trees on both sides of the Werra, connected by a bridge. On one side, a designated area for tourists. On the other side, between the Werra River and the bathing lake, a large tent meadow, pitch area exclusively for caravans, and some seasonal campers. Views of wooded hillsides. Adjacent to the railway line.
Access to water
Public beach with approximately 150m long, up to 5m wide sandy beach with jetty and bathing island. Followed by a large sunbathing area up to 30m deep.

Beautifully Located Campsite
Friendly, accommodating reception, well-maintained sanitary facilities, ideal starting point for cycling and/or hiking tours. Best spot on our Thuringia tour!

Camping directly by the lake
Without prior notification, we only secured a pitch among the long-term campers during the Pentecost holidays (which we were very happy about after the long journey). Here, vehicles are not allowed to be parked next to the caravan. Since our caravan is not very large (3.70 m in height), it was a bit… More

Nice Place
Very nice campsite, friendly and helpful site manager. The pitches are large and paved, with electricity but unfortunately without water connection. Permanent campers in their own area directly by the lake. The beach area is very nicely laid out.
