We have been here many times, but since the campsite is under new management, we barely recognize it! There is a great atmosphere all around, children are very welcome and can move freely! Dogs are also welcome here now. (The new owners also have two kids and a dog.) There is now a nice beer garden at the front of the campsite that invites you to linger. A wonderful and delicious selection of various Flammkuchen and tasty, innovative healthy variations is offered. Plus draft beer! Definitely recommended! And all this despite a major flooding in the spring that caused a lot of damage and pushed back the plans of the new owners "a bit". All in all, a successful change that brings a lot of fresh air to the campsite! I could write so much more, but you better see for yourself! Otherwise, you're missing out on something!!

Inexpensive, small but fine campsite. Older but clean sanitary facilities. Free choice of pitch. Great importance is placed on afternoon and nighttime quiet. We couldn't test the restaurant due to COVID restrictions, however, a small menu for take-away is offered. Points deducted from me for the paid and still quite poor Wi-Fi and what I believe are outdated shower tokens. We were on site for a week and found it very nice.

Small but fine nature spot, very quiet, relaxed camping always given. If there are celebrations in the village, it can get loud. Facilities are old but clean, the site remains dry even in heavy rain. The creek that flows around the campsite is not an official swimming area, but I've swum there many times and lived to tell the tale. The site is managed by a couple who you can't catch on the wrong foot, service desert, well, they only want campers there. Since the site is very easy to reach (caution, the shortest route has a small bridge with a 1.5-ton limit), it can be expected to have passing travelers on weekends, but it brings a change from everyday life. Those seeking peace and relaxation will find it here. Free choice of pitches, many tall trees, which is why pitches with good satellite reception are often occupied. The site operators are diligent and do everything themselves, food in the restaurant is only available at certain times, and they pay close attention to opening and closing times. All in all, a small, fine nature campsite where one can relax well, but without demanding high expectations.

We were with our group at the campsite during Fronleichnam. At first glance, the campsite was very, very beautiful! The owner was very friendly as well.... The reason I'm leaving a review here, I'm happy to share with you. We were a larger group and had children with us as well. The campsite owner pointed out to a 7-year-old boy that he wasn't allowed to ride his scooter on the "grass" ???? Where does that happen? Furthermore, we were also always asked by the owner to keep quiet. When a group of 26 people is sitting together, it's just not possible to ensure that everyone speaks at room volume, especially since we had 9 kids with us. Conclusion: So, if you sit quietly in front of your trailer in the evening and don't talk much, then you're very welcome there... and please, don't bring children.

The location of the site is very beautiful. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities are inadequate. Occasionally, there is a foul smell in the men's toilets, which particularly comes from the sewer during rain. Cleanliness also leaves much to be desired. The sanitary facilities, apart from the toilet bowls, are probably only cleaned once a week, and the garbage container is only emptied when it overflows. You have to bring your own toilet paper. Corresponding holders are not available, so you have to place the toilet paper roll on the floor. The coins for the showers must be inserted after you have undressed, as the shower time is counted from the moment of inserting the coin. The ADAC camping guide lists small bathing places. In the Nied, a state bathing ban has been issued, so swimming is not possible. Wi-Fi is supposed to be available on all sites, which is also not true. In my opinion, the site is overrated.

A stay at the cosy Nied - Camping Siersburg allows you to be close to nature in the French-German border region with a direct location on the natural banks of the River Nied. The well-kept site also offers proximity to the motorway, a high degree of tranquillity and comfortable facilities.
Holidaymakers can choose from 95 parceled-out pitches on a total area of 3 hectares. The pitches, some of which are separated by trees and bushes, are between 100 and 120 m² in size, allowing holidaymakers to enjoy maximum privacy. Modern sanitary facilities, electricity and water connections as well as WLAN reception throughout the campsite provide additional living comfort. A playground guarantees fun and games for younger guests. Dogs are also welcome on the site. Despite its location close to the motorway, the atmosphere is exceptionally quiet and relaxed. The leisurely murmur of the small river and the surrounding orchards make for a holiday close to nature. With an extensive network of cycle paths and hiking trails, the area is particularly popular with nature lovers. In addition to the proximity to nature, the ruins of Siersburg Castle, built in the 11th century and located right next to the campsite, also provide a deeper insight into the cultural history of this region. With a distance of only around 35 kilometres, Saarbrücken is also worth a detour. Sights such as the zoo or the Saarland Museum offer something for every taste and weather condition. After an impressive day, the Zum Niedwehr restaurant serves delicious regional specialities and drinks.
