Nordsee-Campingplatz Schillig

We liked it: it is a simple motorhome parking area, but it is generously laid out. The pitches are mostly separated by small hedges. The reception at the campsite was very nice. Access to the parking area is via the large parking lot - we found that a bit confusing. The toilets were quite new and clean, the shower stalls were spacious and clean as well, with plenty of hot water.

Great location, a lot of nature. This was our first time here, luckily we were not on the site itself, but on the WM parking spot. There we had more privacy thanks to the hedges. Unfortunately, there is no water connection and the sanitary building (others had already closed) was located on the beach where every other tourist went too. I probably don’t need to elaborate on how the 3 toilets looked. The showers were lukewarm in the afternoon and too small, making the clothes easily wet. The hairdryer only blew cold air... So I would wish for improvements there. And why, when I book a round trip with the little train, can I not get off at stations along the way to get back on later? A great example is Norddeich. We will come back, but only for 3-4 days since we like this area a lot. Until then, there might also be a small grocery store.

Toilet houses at the square are very dirty, especially due to grass that is only mulched on the spots. Long walks to the showers. Already quite old ...

The place is very large. The plots in section 4 are sufficiently spacious. A special adapter is needed for the fresh water connection. Gardena connections do not fit. Grey water disposal is not possible at the plot. For this, the place must be left. That's annoying! The sanitary facilities we used were clean and tidy. Many play opportunities for children. The restaurant and bakery with café is good. Unfortunately, there is no shop for daily necessities.

The pitches are well maintained but unfortunately do not have water connections or waste water at the site as described. Very narrow lanes, pitches close together and no boundaries. A lot of permanent campers. Considering the size of the campsite, a bicycle is very helpful, but unfortunately, you cannot ride everywhere with it. We also did not find the grocery store and the sanitary facilities are a total nightmare. Dirty and completely outdated. Broken taps, showers, and doors. And most houses are only accessible via stairs. For us, not 4 stars!!!

Very nice place directly at the North Sea. Friendly staff. Bakery right on site. Sanitary facilities are outdated and need to be renewed as soon as possible. Many permanent campers, but without the classic prejudice. Very friendly.

The price would be almost justified by the beautiful beach and playground. However, one should really invest in the shower houses and sanitary facilities and make the access for tourists charged, or create their own sanitary facilities for the campsite. Also, the camping spots are very small.

Well-kept campsite with very nice & helpful staff. Also highly recommended for families. (We 2+2) We had pitch 6-5-15. Short distances to everything necessary. But the sanitary facilities are in great need of renovation. (Washing house 6). Showers very small, toilets okay, laundry room also okay. It was acceptable in terms of cleanliness. But there is still a lot of room for improvement.
