Campingplatz Rotenburg an der Fulda

Uncomplicated reservation that was promptly confirmed. The directions on the venue's website should definitely be noted (also well signposted) - even our GPS suggested some routes that should absolutely not be followed. The busy freight train traffic was hard to overlook - but it didn’t bother us. The sanitary facilities accessible via stairs are of functional standard, partially nicely decorated. However, we could not understand, even with good will, the second-best rating for quality/impression - thus clearly above standard. All in all: We wanted to explore the area for a few days and everything was fine for that.

We have been to this place several times and we always enjoy it.

A nice campsite directly on the Fulda. Also easily accessible with a motorhome. Waste disposal and water refilling available. Freshwater access is a bit cumbersome but doable. Very friendly and helpful owner. Dinner options are limited, no bread roll service. Baker, shopping center, and old town easily reachable. Train line and road are in hearing distance but not disturbing even at night. Sanitary facilities are basic but spotlessly clean! We stayed here for two days and felt comfortable! We wish the operator all the best for the future!

We were at this campsite for the first time in mid-September. We really liked it, the management is very friendly and concerned about the well-being of their guests. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean and well-maintained, unfortunately not barrier-free due to the stairs to the reception and the sanitary rooms. However, this is due to flood protection. The lovely town can be quickly reached on foot and by bike, and the cycling and hiking trails are well marked. A stay is worthwhile at any time. We highly recommend the site.

We had a great weekend here. It was our first time and definitely not the last. The place is very clean, everyone is friendly and helpful. In the evenings, sitting together comfortably just like I remember camping from earlier. We will definitely be coming back next year 😊.
