The spruce forest alone, which surrounds the Prahljust campsite in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, is ideal for a walk or a bike ride. The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities, from a petting zoo to tennis and horse riding. The "Harzer Hexenstieg" trail, which is around 100 kilometres long in total, leads hiking enthusiasts across the Harz Mountains and over the legendary Brocken mountain under the motto "devilishly beautiful and hellishly exciting". Along the way you will find medieval half-timbered towns, the wildly romantic Bode Valley and the Rübeländer stalactite caves. There are also numerous reminders of the mining era. For children and adults alike, for example, a tour through the 19-Lachter tunnel is an exciting experience. In the cold season, winter guests can easily reach the ski lift just 5 km away. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will be delighted by the perfectly groomed trails that lead right past the campsite.
