The Platzermühle campsite is located in the middle of a charming meadow and forest landscape, just 3 km from the Sibyllenbad spa centre with its sauna area and oriental bath. The centre of the picturesque little town of Markt Neualbenreuth, which boasts half-timbered architecture and a small church, is just 1 km away. The tranquil site consists of four elongated terraces bordered by deciduous trees and bushes. The campsite offers good facilities with a children's playground, modern sanitary facilities and the rustic pub "Zum Eigenbau". Here guests can enjoy beer from the local brewery "Friedenfelser" as well as snacks, regional roast dishes and home-baked cakes. The quiet and cosy atmosphere is ideal for families and those seeking relaxation who want to switch off and explore nature. Over 200 kilometres of hiking trails lead through fields and forests. Particularly noteworthy are the history and legend hiking trails to sights such as the centre of Europe and the Nurtschweg, which is part of the E6 Baltic-Adriatic European Hiking Trail. Excursions to the Bohemian spa triangle of Mariánské Lázně-Franzensbad-Karlsbad and the Soos nature reserve are also worthwhile. Of course, a visit to the Sibyllenbad, which is unique in Germany with its combination of healing waters with radon and natural carbonic acid and attracts visitors with a light-flooded bathing hall, whirlpool and steam grotto, is not to be missed. There is also a beautiful natural golf course with 18 holes close to the campsite.
