We are seasonal campers here and would also like to speak up, so many things have changed for the better on the site since we have this site management team, it has become much tidier, they have built so much and continually come up with new beautification ideas. For example, the entrance area has become inviting and delights both young and old, and of course us as well, keep it up. Many greetings A+A

We just wanted to camp in peace... 2 hours wait at the reception - 4 hours wait until someone showed up at the boat rental. Toilets only accessible with a chip, interesting if you're just out in swim trunks... Too bad - the surroundings are very beautiful, but the place itself is run without love..

Campground with renovation backlog. Nothing has been done here for a long time. The beams on the playground are rotten, which is dangerous for the children. We informed the manager of the situation, we had only rented a pitch and did not have to use the playground - absolutely unprofessional. The toilets were a disgrace, during the 4 days there was no cleaning staff to be seen. It smelled like a manure pile. Showering costs 0.60 € for 3 minutes, none of us managed that, there were always 2 units missing 1.20 €. You always needed two cards, an access card and a shower card, very cumbersome. Oh yes, we actually booked camping Saalthal-Alter and through an overbooking, we were switched to camping Neumannshof, we were not the only ones this happened to. Anyone looking for peace is also out of place here, loud parties were held here until late at night. It's a shame the campground had potential, the landscape is beautiful, but those were all the positive points. So far, this has been the worst and most expensive campground.

Since the change of the leaseholder, it has been an absolute disaster. Rude to the third degree, terrible service!

The facility is quietly surrounded by forest, directly on the dammed Saale. The unnecessary barrier closing from 1 to 3 PM must be factored in, otherwise a planned excursion can quickly end behind the closed barrier. The staff is friendly and the check-in is straightforward. The on-site 'supermarket' with its very limited selection serves more as a token gesture. Since there are also no shopping options in the surrounding area, the supply beyond the bread roll service is rather problematic. The sanitary facilities are kept clean, although during peak times, waiting times must be anticipated. The on-site restaurant 'Four Seasons' has a nice setup; however, the food selection and variety are rather disappointing. Similarly, its opening hours in the evening until 8 PM are not appropriate for a campsite during vacation season.

After a very long, winding road to get to the front gate, we saw no sign announcing we had arrived at Neumannshof, nor how to check-in. We parked to the right of the gate, walked in, and were not greeted friendly, but as if we interrupted their day. To continue, the receptionist was wearing a t-shirt that read "Born to be White". My wife and I found this incredibly offensive, and would have left if we were not so tired from driving all day. The attitude never improved, but after we got past the racism, we had a nice time. Great hikes, even took a boat cruise near the dam. Biking trails would be a little tricky for some, but mountain bikes should be okay. But after the reception, we would never stay here again.

The nature is very beautiful but the rest has aged a lot. The playground is old and decayed, old wood, wobbly, protruding screws, etc. The mini-golf course is very unkempt and old, the "wooden bench" is just a rotting segment. In summer (holidays) it smells at the dump because the containers are not emptied often enough and the garbage bags are piling up next to it, toilets - toilet seats wobble back and forth, toilet brushes disgusting, showers - shower heads and in the tile joints lime and mold, sometimes the water while showering was only lukewarm. The boat rental can also be forgotten, it is a joke. The service in the restaurant was nice, the food good but not as super as at the Linkenmühle where the homemade ice cream is also very tasty.
