We were there last (very warm) autumn. We were directly between the swimming and fishing lake. A small toilet was 15 meters away on foot. There was always paper, or we left ours because we believe the other was from the permanent campers. Their plots were almost adjacent to our area behind the swimming lake. It was a short walk to the sanitary house. Kiosk on the site, and the little stand with vegetables from the neighborhood were great. We only had nice contact with the operator. Our grandchildren were visiting, they enjoyed the playground and petting zoo. Excursions from the site were also well organized. It was, despite the masses of flies (for which no one in the countryside can do anything), a relaxing short trip.

As a kind of emergency solution over Pentecost, came to this place by chance. Therefore no selection possible, just a "tent meadow" that is considered a standard spot by others for a significantly higher price. Some pitches are partially parcelled and separated by hedges. Very well-maintained area, swimming and fishing pond, as well as rental accommodations and holiday apartments. The Neuenstein family operates the site with a lot of passion and you already feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of upon arrival. Next to the swimming and fishing pond, there is a lot for the little guests to experience and discover. Highly recommendable for families. Sanitary area more than sufficient, clean, albeit a bit aged in places, bringing your own toilet paper and such is not as bad as many think. If there were more than 5 stars, I would give them. Tip: Book early! The site gets quickly fully booked, especially on holidays and longer weekends. Connections to Leer, Emden, and the Netherlands are quickly reachable. You can't hear anything from the motorway!! Rolls are a bit pricey but very delicious. In the village (5 min by car) you have shopping facilities and restaurants.

We spent 1 week at this site during our summer vacation, traveling with 2 adults with a dog and caravan. The plots are on simple grass, but nicely level, at least for us. All plots have electricity and water connections. We have a relatively small combination (caravan about 6 meters long); the plot was large enough for us, but there are also places for larger combinations/motorhomes. At the back, there is an ivy-covered fence, and in front, the pathways; we found that very pleasant, as we left the side rear door of the awning open so that our dog could lie quietly in front of the door. The sanitary facilities were very clean and well-maintained, not old, but also not brand new. The shower cubicles are sufficiently large, and the water is charged based on consumption. There could be a few more shelves, but that didn't bother us too much. The washing-up facilities were always clean and sufficient. You have to pay for hot water. The bread rolls are an absolute recommendation! Not exactly cheap, but worth it! They need to be ordered the evening before at the kiosk. We bought only a few drinks, popcorn which we cannot recommend, and ice cream, which is also absolutely recommendable; there is more available. In summer, there is a program on Fridays and Saturdays. When we were there, one evening was karaoke and the other was bingo. You can take small to medium walks with the dog there. Nothing breathtaking, but okay. There is also a dog area, but when we were there, there was a youth camp, so it was not usable for dogs. Not far away in Papenburg, there is the "Demonstration Forest," a large forest with a lake where dogs are allowed to run free (dog exercise area). Additionally, there is another lake, the Erste-Wieck-Lake. It is not marked as a swimming beach, but the water is crystal clear, gently slopes down, and if you look a bit away from the swimming areas, you will find little oases of tranquility right by the lake under trees. A total dream in hot temperatures. At the site, there is also a bathing pond with a sandy beach and trampoline, as well as a fishing pond. We did not use these further, but they are certainly great for children. For kids, there is also a petting zoo with alpacas, ponies, goats, squirrels, and guinea pigs, along with an animation program. Furthermore, we can recommend the Rehderei, a great restaurant not far from the campsite. Shopping opportunities can be reached within 20-30 minutes. We can highly recommend this site from our perspective. Nice operators who still have a lot planned for the place, great atmosphere. Dogs are truly welcome there; there were many on the site, just as there were children. For everything, including electricity, we ended up paying about €150 for 7 days without showers. It was a great time for us, and we were more than satisfied with the price.

Super clean facility. Dogs are warmly welcome here. The operators are just great, always nice and always ready with a smile. Delicious ice cream and always fresh rolls, which can be ordered a day in advance. Simply top. We will gladly come back.
