Very nice owners, we could still access the site very late, everything else was taken care of the next morning. It went very smoothly. A very nice and tidy site, sanitary facilities very clean. Located right by the water. Small playground.

Very nice place. We stood right by the water with no extra charge. The sanitary facilities are clean and modern. There are rolls and a restaurant.

The campsite is actually quite good. The sanitary facilities are simple but good and also clean. They are cleaned twice a day. With a fully booked site, there are bottlenecks at sanitary building 3 (by the river). Unfortunately, no one pays attention to the behavior of the campers. It is very annoying and also bothersome that fires are made in fire bowls with wet wood, causing the entire campsite to become smoky. You then have to close all the windows in the caravan or motorhome so that the smoke does not enter inside. This is usually the case on weekends when groups have arrived in the back area of the site. If that hadn't been the case, one could recommend the site, including the good restaurant.

Beautiful campsite located right by the river. The spots for permanent campers are somewhat rundown and not very nice. The remaining spots further down by the river are very nice. The sanitary facilities are mostly renovated and also super clean. The shop is open until 9:00 PM in the evening, which is great. The selection was still quite small because it's not yet the season (e.g. items for grilling were not available). The restaurant affiliated with the campsite is good, and food is also available for takeout. I deduct 2 half stars: selection in the shop, no card payment possible (neither in the shop nor at the reception). Otherwise, everything is great :-)

Unfortunately, we only used the site for one night while passing through, but we will definitely come back again. Beautiful location to relax with the rocks at the edge of the valley; the road did not bother us. In August 2022, swimming in the Naab was unfortunately not possible due to blue-green algae. The pitches are very spacious, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the reception was very friendly.

Everything is great, contrary to the homepage there is also excellent Wi-Fi by the river. Only the road on the other side of the river is a little disturbing.

We were at this campsite for a weekend. The site is very beautifully designed and the pitches are very generous. The sanitary facilities are very clean and also freshly renovated. The staff is very helpful and even went around during the heavy rain to provide power, as it had gone out. Dogs are also very welcome. We will definitely come back!

More info about Campingplatz Naabtal
Families can look forward to numerous attractions at the family-friendly Naabtal campsite. These include the bathing area in the Naab and the large playground. The tennis court offers ideal training conditions for ambitious players. The first-class cuisine in the beer garden is also very popular.
4-star campsite by the river with tennis court
Pielenhofen is often referred to by locals as the pearl of the Naab Valley due to its marvellous location between rugged Jura cliffs, the surrounding forests and architectural monuments such as the impressive monastery church. Located around 4.5 km from the historic centre, the Naabtal campsite is ideal for a relaxing stay in Bavaria. The sloping 6-hectare site is partly overgrown with trees and borders the Naab river. Dogs are welcome on the pitches of up to 110 square metres with electricity. The bathing area on the Naab is a popular meeting place. Here, the shallow, sandy banks make it easy to get into the cool water. Guests are welcome to hire a canoe and explore the unspoilt banks from the water. There are plenty of opportunities for youngsters to let off steam in the large playground. There are slides, swings and climbing frames, among other things. Those who like to perfect their forehand and backhand in their free time have the opportunity to do so on the tennis court. Those seeking peace and quiet, on the other hand, can retreat to the sauna or use the solarium. Active holidaymakers can look forward to the direct connection to the Naabtal cycle path. The university city of Regensburg, which is famous for its cathedral and medieval centre, is around 17 km away.
