Campingplatz Möhnesee

The Möhnesee campsite is a good starting point for bike tours and hikes. While there are many permanent pitches on the site, there are also beautiful pitches for traveling campers, usually near the shore, for motorhomes and caravans. Personal boats can be launched from the campsite (electric motor only). Water sports of all kinds are possible.

The only truly beautiful and good thing about these spots is the view of the lake. But that's about it. EVEN IN WINTER, THE SUMMER PRICE OF 28 € IS CHARGED HERE! IN RELATION TO WHAT IS OFFERED, THIS IS ALREADY A REAL INSULT..... THERE IS NO FRESH WATER IN WINTER, IT'S JUST TURNED OFF. MANY OF MY PREDECESSORS HAVE ALREADY MENTIONED IT, IT'S VERY TIGHT HERE, ESPECIALLY WITH WASTE DISPOSAL, YOU HAVE TO PAY PARTICULARLY ATTENTION NOT TO PLEASE CHECK THE SPOT BY FOOT BEFORE YOU DRIVE IN, AS YOU HAVE TO PAY STARTING FROM 5 MINUTES. OTHERWISE, YOU'LL HAVE THE PROBLEM THAT ABOUT 8 WEEKS LATER YOU'LL GET A TICKET OF 50 € IN YOUR MAILBOX. I AM NOW CAMPING AT THE Südufer CAMPING SITE, WHICH NEEDS TO BE RESERVED (PLEASE DO THIS IN TIME) AND COSTS ONLY 38 € AND YOU GET GREAT SERVICE FOR IT. MY CONCLUSION:

Clean site with functioning but somewhat outdated sanitary facilities. The parcels are sometimes very cramped. Swimming is only possible if you have walked through 10 meters of muddy shore. Anyone looking for a quiet spot with a relaxation factor is in the wrong place because all the surrounding roads serve as popular motorcycle racing tracks during the day. By the way: the electricity flat rate per night is a staggering 4.50 €, which amounts to 135,- € per month! For our entire house, I pay an average of 87,- € per month!!! Conclusion: It is bearable for 1-2 nights.

It is really a very nice campsite. It is more small than large and located right by the lake. The people at the reception are very nice and even charge the e-bike batteries for free. The sanitation facilities are very clean. Just, one should shop as much as possible beforehand. But the supermarket on the other side of the lake is easily reachable on foot and by bike.

A very nice campsite, it's very quiet here at night, during the day normal traffic noises. Nice lake well suited for windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, etc. Bathing facilities are available. Sanitary buildings clean. Kiosk with bread roll service and a small selection of warm meals for a quick snack. DLRG (German Life Saving Association) on site.

We were at the campsite for the second time at Easter. It is a nice small and quiet place right by the water and in the middle of nature. The campsite staff were very friendly and helpful. The paths are paved. The pitches are somewhat narrow and uneven but long enough. We parked our caravan directly by the water and could enjoy nature. If it had been warmer, you could certainly have walked straight into the Möhnesee from your pitch. The older but very clean sanitary building was unfortunately a bit crowded during the Easter holidays. There is a small kiosk with a roll service and a small restaurant. Among other things, there are very delicious pizzas. There is a playground for children. Well-developed bike paths lead around the Möhnesee. If you are looking for a small affordable campsite in the middle of nature, I can only recommend this campsite!

Quick and uncomplicated. Nice contact. Clean sanitary facilities. Parking space on the meadow with lake view. Bread roll service. Wi-Fi.

Loud, cramped, and no way to get into the water properly unless you love mud. I'm glad to be able to drive away after one night!
