Campingplatz Krautsand am Elbstrand

We really like this place. The proximity to the Elbe beach, which you wouldn't suspect here in its dimensions, and the advantages of the nearby Elbe beach resort (dining and wellness) make this little piece of earth an insider tip.

New washing facilities and men's showers/sanitary installations starting from 23rd December 2025 Looks really good and shows a further step to a contemporary but cozy campsite at the beautiful Elbstrand. Always worth a stay. Keep it up 💪👎

The price of the site per day does not match the services offered regarding the sanitary facilities. With a daily price of EUR 39.00, the sanitary facilities should be in better shape (cleanliness is okay, but the condition of some items is questionable). The operators still need to improve their interaction with campers.

The layout of the new pitches is very well thought out. The site is very well maintained, even though not everything has been redesigned yet. The washrooms and toilets are very clean. What is still missing, however, is a proper disposal station for toilet cassettes. It's also a shame that there is no shopping opportunity for the most important groceries. But the roll delivery service works great and the rolls taste particularly good. The owners of the campsite are very friendly and radiate something particularly positive. I will definitely come back.

The new operators are putting in a lot of effort and are extremely nice and friendly. However, there is a significant investment backlog. But progress is being made. The quick access to the beach is fantastic.

A small but run with a lot of passion campground. During our stay, there were still works on the former long-term pitches. Due to this, the place was only about 1/3 occupied. The pitches are spacious enough (car, caravan, tent). The sanitary facilities were mega clean and in great shape for their age. The location: Just a stone's throw from the dyke. In 3 minutes you can dip your feet in the Elbe. The sandy beach is amazing. The dog beach is just a few steps away and is a paradise for the four-legged friends. Now let's talk about the owner. I have rarely met such a person with such a positive aura and always a kind word ready. The entire place reflects this person. Conclusion: A small place with a lot of charm and passion. There is a playground for children. There is also a beer cart on the site, but it was not relevant for us.

Sweet, small camp under apple trees of old varieties! Super nice owner (completely relaxed and uncomplicated with a lot of humor (you use 'du' here, which makes everything feel more familial). A small camp with some permanent campers. Clean sanitation facilities with shower curtains. Snack and beverage vending machine in the sanitary building and a shop at the reception. We actually planned to stay just one night while passing through and ended up extending, extending...... in the end, it was a week!!!!! Short path over the dyke to the Elbe sandy beach to watch the ships..... There is also a small restaurant there with delicious food and cocktails. For bikers and campers who don’t want to sit outside in the rain, there is a lounge. WE WILL BE BACK!

The last campsite after a 14-day round trip was Krautsand. Not once until then were we welcomed so wonderfully friendly. Everything was there, everything clean and just a few steps from the Elbe beach. A perfect place for our last travel day!
