The power supply is upgradeable in some places. The toilets are very clean. There are always people who cannot behave. Some need a cleaning aid after every toilet visit. The pitch marking could be better. But all in all, a nice place.

The place seems messy and unkempt. The showers have windows with normal glass - the privacy film is applied halfway; but is partially coming off. Cleanliness is not sufficient for us - at the sinks and toilets, there are sponges to clean them - we find that unhygienic. There are no designated spots; some neighboring campers simply run across the rented spot to get from A to B. A no-go! Privacy? There are almost only outdoor wash basins... Disposal stations are unkempt... we didn't feel at ease. The good reviews from other guests do not make sense to us... What a shame ☹️

We were there for the second time and only now, in direct comparison to other places on our route in the south, noticed how great and what comfort the site offers for this price!!! Almost new sanitary facilities with separate brick partitions and with great details and comfort. Spots of various kinds right by the beautiful riverbank or a bit in the middle area. Good Franconian restaurant with fair prices. Roll service with overwhelming friendliness: 'You can pay for that later too 😄' and we were only there for one night. The price of 33€ for 2 people was truly absolutely fair (July 2024). And Bamberg is definitely worth the trip with its beautiful old town. We would gladly come back!!!

We were only there for two nights to visit Bamberg. It is a good location; the bus connection into the city is great. The camping area is largely under high trees, which made it seem a bit gloomy for our assessment. The pitches are okay, but created without much effort; in the front area, they are very close to each other and dark. The sanitary facilities are good and clean, but have slightly too little capacity when fully booked. We didn’t test the restaurant as it was fully booked. All in all, the site is okay for a short stay, but relatively it is a bit too expensive for our taste.

The place is very well organized, great sanitary facilities, the gastronomy (which we did not use) makes a very good impression! The bus to Bamberg stops near the site! I would come here again!

Beautiful spot by the Regnitz. Extra Bulli spaces. Friendly staff. Sometimes you get the impression that you have to bend yourself for the 3.5 stars. But it would be totally fine like this. The requirement to wear flip-flops in the showers is a bit silly and you only read it when you are on the first floor. It would be good to invest in a runner... Camping and fussiness don’t really go together... other campgrounds also manage to be that clean. By bike 20 min. into Bamberg.

A wonderful place in every way. Apart from the great location by the river, the culinary offerings and especially the incredibly generous washrooms stand out. No shower tokens like elsewhere, fair electricity rate, great staff. For those who want to explore Bamberg or just want some peace... Best choice! We've been there twice now, and each time it was fantastic.
