This campsite is a camping and parking area without divisions. It is located next to a sports field in the district of Tiefenstein. Surrounded by residential houses and next to a stream, the location is idyllic. Since the sports club also manages the camping area, there is no site manager present at all times. There is free choice of spots, and the introduction to the facilities is done over the phone. The washing room, toilet, shower, and dishwashing area with hot water are well-maintained and clean. Two 230V distribution boxes provide electrical supply. The site manager is very friendly and in a good mood. Idar-Oberstein has an exciting history related to rock processing and gem production - a small industry at its finest.

The place essentially consists of an area around the sports field of the local football club. There is supposed to be a reception, but we couldn't find one. After a short tour of the area and a look into the sanitary facilities, we moved on. The pictures on the CP homepage are "very positively photographed." If you love original camping, you'll find a suitable spot here. The telephone contact in advance with the operator was very good compared to the place.
