The new owners of the Hooksiel campsite have decided to close the naturist section. Permanent campers have been given notice to terminate their spots in order to establish new contracts for 2027. The new contracts include a price increase of about 40 %. Hooksiel was worth the trip every year! Cycling, hiking, waterskiing, swimming pools with saunas – everything was available. But today! The swimming pool in Hooksiel and Horumersiel is closed! The Hooksiel campsite is about 40 % more expensive! Access hours have been shortened from 10 PM to 8 PM. It's absolutely ridiculous! This has led to fewer table reservations in the restaurant. Currently, there is no Wi-Fi at the campsite. When Wi-Fi will be available is questionable. There is no longer a proper baker at the campsite, only a bread roll service. The naturist club is being expelled after almost 75 years of history. Thank you very much! The Überland group as a host is a "NO GO" for us.

This campsite is a disaster... from 2027, FKK will no longer be possible. Dogs are allowed everywhere. Previously, they were only allowed in a separate area. Wi-Fi is either not available or very poor. At 8 PM, you can no longer access your pitch by car. Before it was until 10 PM... There is nothing to do for adults... too expensive for these services... simply sad.

With the takeover by Überland GmbH, everything was supposed to improve, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. On the contrary, the promised Wi-Fi is virtually nonexistent, the pitches are in poor condition, and the gate times have been moved from 10 PM to 8 PM... it feels like being in a kindergarten. The dining options will feel the impact, the indoor pool is permanently closed, leaving no opportunities for families with children to swim in bad weather, unless you drive to Wilhelmshaven and have to pay a high entry fee. The icing on the cake is that the naturist section will be completely closed in 2027. For me, this place is no longer worth the trip... it's a shame because that naturist area has always been a wonderful experience for me. The Rosenfelder Beach will be looking forward to seeing me.

Unfortunately, it has only gotten worse. The atmosphere at the campsite has become a total disaster since the takeover by this ÜberLand association... because everything is being restructured for the incredible masses of tourists, hundreds of long-term campers are losing their second home as they know it... none of the announced changes have actually been implemented... oh yes, the prices have been raised by 27... The barrier times until 8 PM are just the absolute cherry on top. So we will enjoy our last season as naturists as best we can... Starting in 2027, everything will be much better (for sure).

Camping Überland closes the only naturist site on the North Sea. The naturist association that has been on this site for almost 75 years must pack its bags. The barrier times have been shortened from 10:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The restaurants in Hooksiel will be thrilled since no later tables will be reserved. The cleanliness of the wash houses really leaves much to be desired. Currently, there is no security service on site. It is reportedly supposed to offer more for campers. So far, we haven’t seen much of that. It gives the impression that everything is aimed at quick profit. There is no longer a real bakery on the campsite. A lot has changed and will change in Hooksiel! We will not visit this place again under the management of Überland Camping.

Sparsely furnished site primarily populated by long-term campers in poor conditions. The facility is in urgent need of renovation. The restaurant serves decent fast food at good prices. There are small playgrounds available. The barrier system is a disaster.

Überland Hooksiel is one of the oldest and largest campsites in Germany. The site is located directly on the dyke and impresses with its scenic diversity, friendly atmosphere and excellent cuisine. The traditional campsite has a separate area for naturists, and dog lovers will also find a place here. Active holidaymakers will have just as much fun Nordic walking or jogging on the beach as they will surfing or water skiing. Children can enjoy playgrounds, a football pitch and, of course, the beach and the Wadden Sea. Just a few steps over the flat dyke and green meadows and young and old can build sandcastles, swim or search for lugworms. With a fresh North Sea breeze blowing around your nose, many a camper's heart beats faster. Guests' physical well-being is also catered for. The campsite's own bakery offers fresh bread and rolls for breakfast every day, ensuring a delicious start to the day. And if you want a good lunch or dinner, you don't need to leave the campsite. The restaurant spoils its guests with delicious North German specialities. Evening entertainment is provided in the camper barn with music, dancing, games and socialising.
