A place near the highway, perfect for us to stop during our travels. Yes, you can hear the highway, but it didn't bother us at all. Super friendly reception, even the fact that we arrived around 9 PM was no problem at all. Restroom was clean, which is always important to me. When we asked where we could get some rolls in the morning, it was immediately offered to us that they would be obtained for us. It worked out great, we were able to have a delicious breakfast.

Mold, Dirt, and Rusty Showers

April 2023

INTERNET HUI....REALITY PFUI Fresh exterior paint does not disguise poor hygiene. Spent one night at the Camp-to-go spontaneous camping site. The areas that matter most to us, such as toilets, showers, and washing facilities, are completely unacceptable. The 3 men's shower stalls are loosely attached along the bases and are grimy, with loose and moldy spots in several places. The grime on the rusty old shelves runs down some walls. There are mold spots on the side walls/ceiling area. A long-term camper told us that this has been noted, but nothing has been done for months. No one even follows up anymore. Toilets stink, are too cramped, and there are no hooks for shower bags. Dreary welcome sign, dead palms at the entrance, and what should be very nice new rental huts. The crooked old fence from the 70s at the spontaneous camping site is good for hanging laundry. Unfortunately, the operator is letting a lot of things fall apart in an obvious way.

We booked one of the overnight cabins there for two and are absolutely thrilled. The furnishings are functional, with beds, a table, chairs (which can also be placed on the veranda), a television, and a refrigerator. The staff is very friendly and helpful, constantly on the move to provide assistance wherever needed. We often and gladly sat in the snack bar. The food offered there is well-prepared and ranks higher than just snack-standard. Even if you just wanted to have one or two beers, you were a welcome guest. The place itself is clean and well-kept, and if something breaks, it is repaired promptly. Whenever we passed by the reception, we were always greeted warmly and given tips on how to spend the day. Or engaged in nice conversations, with no distinction made between long-term campers, tourist campers, and people like us who just wanted to spend a few nights in the overnight cabin. It felt like being part of a big family. All in all... we will come back, as soon as possible.

The new owners are very nice, friendly, and helpful. They are making a great effort to renovate the aging campsite. This takes time and money. Time should be given to them and the opportunity to generate the money. Everything was clean and regularly maintained. We enjoyed the two weeks here and felt comfortable. We would love to come back.

Never again! Only stopover if necessary for one night.

According to the Internet, a lot is promised. But there was no pool in operation when we were there! It was just being renovated. A staff member's statement: We can't do anything about the craftsmen and the nice weather. But we didn't arrive spontaneously. We booked this weeks ago on the Internet! There was nothing mentioned about renovations or repairs. And on Pentecost, I expect an intact pool. No kiosk, as advertised online. A dog area is really a joke! Where I wash my dishes, there is also the dog shower! The restaurant is just a good fries place. Instead of paprika schnitzel or gypsy schnitzel, there were only Wiener schnitzel! I think the place wants to offer everything, but in reality, it only manages half of it. The staff sits all day at the reception and the gate, where you have to go to the toilet or shower, drinking beer with permanent campers. You constantly feel watched. Many neglected permanent camping spots. Electricity constantly cuts out. Ah, so much. My/our conclusion: just don’t vacation there. Never!!!!

Never again...

The site is a pure permanent camping site. Everything related to communal use is absolutely disgusting and vile. Toilets are too cramped, showers likewise, especially moldy. The rinsing basin is like a washing trough from 70s sports halls. Pool not usable, dog area is a filthy corner. We are only stranded here because we are visiting friends - and will now shower there. Oh yes, chemical toilet disposal - we take it home and dispose of it there (thankfully, we have no chemicals but Solbio in it).

The lady in administration was very nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained. However, there are only 4 toilets and 3-4 shower stalls. In the off-season, this was not a problem. It seems to be a very friendly campsite. There is a dedicated dog shower right next to the washing places... there were quite a few dogs. We did not take advantage of the recreational program, as we were just passing through. There is a convenient stopover parking spot for campers with online check-in, but without electrical supply. The parking area was gravelly and small, not comfortable for sleeping, but good. The campsite is quiet; however, one can also hear the highway at night with the window open. This does have the advantage that the site is easy to reach and leave. Prices are moderate.
